Solid pc of towing equipment!

I have had it for about a year and still impressed with how solid the hitch is made.

by:

Still performing excellently after a year. This draw bar is much stronger than we even need, but it gave us the two extra inches of length needed to clear the bumper, so we could install the Curt hitch-mounted clamp-on bike rack, also purchased here & working well.

by:

It could have been packaged better because this thing is not light and I am sure it gets banged around. I use aluminum hitches, but my boat is almost 5000K lbs and this is on the front receiver I put on, so I can push it into place. SO much easier on everything. I flipped this over as well to give me more height. The coating will help it from rusting. Will it? Don't know, just got it. Its definitely built well and I would not be surprised if this thing would tow much greater than its rated capacity. It does look somewhat like aluminum and I like that to match my Weigh Safe hitch on the back, which is awesome by the way. I would have got another one for the front, but the shank needed to be longer to extend past the bumper and clear for the boat tongue. This looks much better than black. Hoping it will not rust or not rust for a while. Its heavy. Its well built and should be to take the extra stress of having a longer neck portion. Its a good way to go if you have a heavy boat, have a front hitch (bolted to the frame) and need something that sturdy.

I highly recommend etrailer! Will buy from them again.

the extra length gives me enough leeway so I don’t dent the storage box mounted on the tongue if the trailer. I also like how heavy duty it is. Great piece of mind while towing a heavy load.

by:

This review is more about etrailer customer service than the part ordered...Customer service is fantastic!..The reciever i ordered didnt show up..I called customer service and talked with Maddy...She took care of the problem in less than 2 minutes...I will look no futher than etrailer for all my trailer needs!

by:

Needed an extended length hitch to mount a set of additional rear mud flaps on our Dually when hauling our goose-neck LQ. Thought, why not get one that was capable of towing our two horse trailer as well. This hitch was just the right ticket. Love ordering from etrailer. Their site is easy to navigate and their service is awesome..

by:

The longer length allowed tighter turns. Now the ladder on the back of the coach does not hit the trailer on tight turns. It would be nice if it was available as a 2 1/2 mount so I would not need a 2 to 2 1/2 adapter.

by:

The good is its solid and strong,it is very heavy to handle.

by:

This thing is great. Super heavy duty and you can tell by how much it weighs. I use it very often and would recommend to those looking for a little extra space between your trailer and tailgate.

by:

Second one I now own ...bought this one for the same reason I bought the first one, it is by far the best ball mount for my situation. Now I don't have to keep swapping out the ball mount to my other vehicle...they both have their own dedicated mounts.

by:

I was concerned about the sturdiness of an extended length ball mount. The shaft is solid steel and the rise/drop is extra wide and thick. No concerns at all.

by:

After owning this draw bar for one year it still looks like new and is performing very well. I would definitely recommend this product.

by:

A ball mount is a ball mount and this one is as described. Etrailer's service is expeditious, courteous and accurate. They are a pleasure to work with.

by:

22 lbs. in weight this is a heavy duty ball mount. No worries with it.

by:

Awesome service (thanks Paula), great price and product delivered in a timely manner. A++++++ transaction. I highly recommend etrailer.com

by:

This is one great ball mount. Solid Replaced my old multifunctional ball mount.

by:

Solid hope it holds up with me Concession trailer

by:

Built solid and very heavy. Great quality. I put POR15 on it and love it.

by:

Excellent product and shipping. This company has wonderful communication and was a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely be a return customer. Thank you.

by:

started coming out of the shipping box, my stuff was not hurt a bit. thanks

by:

The ball mount with the extra length was just what I needed.
Delivery was fast and I was kept informed of the order progress.

by:

Very well-made product.

by:

It is working great will put you guys in my favorites. Jeff

by:

There isn't a specific ball mount required for the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13264 on your Toyota Tacoma. We offer some ball mounts that might work for you. You'll need to measure the distance from the center of your hitch pin hole to the rear-most part of the bumper, to determine how much clearance you need. The Curt # D-28, for instance might work well for you. It offers a 4 inch rise, and has a 6000 lb capacity. If the measurement you took is less than 8-1/4 inches, this ball mount would work very well for you. The compatible 2-5/16 trailer ball would be part # 63847. For a 3 inch rise,...

  • Availability Of 12" Long Ball Mount With 1-1/4" Hitch Ball Hole And 3" Rise
I have an option that may work for you, but we do not have a ball mount with 4" rise, a 1-1/4" shank hole, and is 13" - 14-1/2" long. For this option you would use 2-5/16" hitch ball # BWHB94003 which has a 3-1/4" long shank and has a 1" rise to get you back up to 4" total rise. If your new trailer is under 6000lbs I recommend is...

This is more than enough to suit your length requirements. First, the Ford 2-1/2 inch hitch has be known to have some compatibility issues with some accessories. The problem is that the hitch receiver has more rounded corners than a lot of accessories that have more square corners. In the event you run into this issue, what you can do is gently and carefully remove some of the powder coating around the accessory shank until it fits. Do not remove any metal. This will weaken the accessory. The extension length you need is going to be based on...

The shank is solid with the only hole in it for the hitch pin. It is welded to the platform which is also solid steel. All of this solid steel construction makes for a heavy ball mount.
