Video Transcript for Andersen Wheel Chocks - Wheel Chock - AM3604 Review

Today we'll be reviewing part number AM3604. This is the Andersen camper leveler. One leveler is included, along with one chock. This is going to provide leveling at any increment, from a half-inch, to four inches. At its lowest point, we have a measurement of a half-inch. Then at its highest point, we have a measurement of right at four inches.

This is going to work great on trailers up to 30,000 pounds. The way this works is, you would place the wedge in front of, or behind, the tire of your trailer. That way you can actually drive on to these, or you can back on to them. Your tire is going to come on, here. It's going to level itself out with the leveling system.

Once you have that correct increment that you're looking for, between a half-inch to four inches of needing to be level, then what you can do is, you can take your chock, and place it under your leveler. You can see how the chock is cut to match any position that the leveler is positioned at. Another great feature about this system is, once you're ready to move your trailer off of the levelers, you don't have to get in there and struggle to really pull this out from your tire. You can simply just remove the chock, and drive your trailer off the front. This is going to flip up behind your wheel, and then you're good to go. Just grab your two pieces and put them into your storage compartment or under your vehicle, and you're ready to get on your way.

Another great feature about this is that it is just two pieces. There's no assembly required. A lot of leveling systems out there, you have to build or place together. In some cases, a lot of people that don't want to use chocks, will wedge a rock underneath their leveler. This is a really sturdy and stable unit.

It's going to work great for your application. A few dimensions that I would like to go over is, we have an overall length of right at 15 inches. Again, the height is four inches, and this provides a width of right at six inches. That's going to complete today's review of the Andersen camper leveler, part number AM3604.

Andersen Camper Wheel Chock and Leveler - AM3604

Average Customer Rating:  4.8 out of 5 stars   (823 Customer Reviews)

by:

very convenient wheel chocks. simple and fast way to get my trailer levelled.

by:

These levelers mostly work as marketed, seem rugged and are easy to use, but they do have a few shortcomings. (1) they really need to come with two wedges when your only leveling to mid- position (one for each side). In the photo I used a wedge of firewood till I can make something permanent. (2) very slippery plastic material (I'm guessing HDPE) and the wedge can easily be knocked out. I may try and add some texture or skateboard tape to help. (3) limited to about 3-1/2” of height adjustment, ok for most RV intended sites, but if you like more primitive sites like me, these may not have enough rise to them.

Works well, needed some minor mods. 1 my axel spacing wasn’t wide enough to accommodate it so I did trim about 1-14” off one. 2 I felt it needed wedges on both sides, it only comes with one.

by:

WOW!!! Absolutely the best shopping experience I have had. All 3 items shipped immediately, together and worked/fit perfectly. Your prices were cheaper (when you factor shipping) so not only did I get a great deal, I got it super fast and delivered to my door step. etrailer will be my go to place for my RV needs from now on

I can’t imagine trying to level our 5th wheel without them. Quick and efficient way to get set up.

I loved this chock and found it a wonderful way to level my teardrop trailer. I'd give it 5 stars, but then....

Unfortunately, while using it on a level gravel pad, the large section just snapped into two pieces.

I have still been able to use it in parts but I would like a new one.

The product is covered by a 3 year warranty. Please contact our Customer Service folks at 800-298-8924 for details.

Easiest way to level my Airstream. I don't mind having a spot that isn't quite level because I can use my Andersen Camper Levelers.

8/8/2017

Still the best way to level my trailer. I have had many people ask me about these levelers.

by:

It is a good product and elevates the trailer correctly. Unfortunately and for a reason I need to investigate, when I use it, I am unable to get the trailer hitch off the ball. This does happen to others from what I have read. So until I figure it out, I will be using boards.

Etrailer Expert

Heather A.

10/11/2021

It is possible the chocks are elevating the trailer to the point of the coupler being at an angle on the ball which makes it difficult to release. It may help to grease the ball.

Ted

10/11/2022

We are getting a different trailer next year and will retry the product at that time. I believe there is something incorrect about the hitch on the trailer that would have caused the issue I reported above.

by:

Very easy way to level my camper !! No guessing how many boards or blocks I need to add - just drive on and stop when level - works forward or reverse.

by:

They work very well for the torsion axels on my Airstream

This product is a complete game changer in our opinion. Easy to use and very well made. The product makes leveling a piece of cake.

by:

Quick shipping. Products were exactly as advertised

by:

Great product. Easy to use. Previously, I used wood blocks with one end cut off at an angle. Now I simply use item as both a leveler and a chock. Excellent rating for this item.

Made of durable material. I expect years of satisfactory service. One set replaces many pieces of wood to obtain leveling for my single axle trailer.

Easy to use and provides all the levelling lift I require for my single axle. Great product.

Best mod so far. Levels the camper quickly, easy on, easy off. I wouldn’t leave home without it.

by:

These levelers have been great. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is that their hard plastic body does make them a little slippery on some surfaces. That can result in the levelers slipping a bit as you attempt to drive up on them. This has not been a major problem and other than that we’ve had great success using these to get level many times. We also have leveling “Lego” blocks but always reach for the Andersons firsts These have definitely been a worthwhile purchases

by:

A really easy way to level the vehicle plane of our camper. I add some sandpaper tape to the surface to keep it from skidding.

AWESOME leveler !!!

by:

I am a repeat customer and trailer is my first stop. Best customer service foe my trailer needs.

by:

Should have been sold as a pair.

by:

Seem OK. Will use next summer.

by:

Should be sold as a pair!

This product is a quick, simple, inexpensive, durable, and ingenious way to level up a trailer axle within it’s limits on firm ground. It is rare that a camp site is truly level. We use ours at over 90% of our sites.

Tom

Essential equipment. Simplest and fastest way to level an axle.

by:

Works as advertised. However, I had to cut 2 1/2 inches from the narrow end of each set, because the full-length leveler would sometimes wedge itself tightly between the tires of my Grand Design trailer when I was
pulling away from the chocked site. This decreases the size of the hollow in the leveler that prevents the
trailer from rolling; the small supplied chock only serves to stabilize the leveler.

by:

Great staff fast shipping gotta love et railer

by:

Works great. It simplifies leveling the trailer w/o stacking a bunch of 2x6's or plastic blocks. If you have a large level on your trailer front (that you can read from your TV's rear view mirror), you can level your trailer w/o assistance. If you only need about 3/4" of lift, you can use the little wedge to chock the other side of the tire. If you have tandem axles that positioned the tires close together, the small end can be trimmed (shortened) so that it'll fit between the tires. Also, with the help of some 2x6 blocks, one of these can be used as a rolling jack to lift the other axle's tire up for changing.
Great product. Saves room and weight in my travel trailer. Won't rot or rust either.

Vern M.

Still works great. People ask me about them when they how easily I can level my trailer w/o a spotter.

The Andersen Camper Leveler # AM3604, which is sold as a set of one leveler and one chock, will work on your tandem axle trailer even if the gap between the tires is only 2-1/2-inches. If you refer to the linked video and photo you'll see that the leveler does not need to fit vertically between your two closely-spaced tires to work properly as a leveling device. • Can the Andersen Camper Leveler be Used on a Triple Axle 5th Wheel Trailer
Because of the travel of the suspension on a trailer, using just one leveler, # AM3604, would not provide enough lift in most circumstances. It would be difficult to use more than one per side on a triple axle trailer so I recommend going with a different type of leveler. Take a look at the Ultra-Fab Leveling Blocks, # UF48-979051. These 10 levelers can be stacked as needed and the space between tires of multiple axle trailers should not be an issue. With a triple axle trailer though...
