Correct Installation of Suspension Equalizer on Boat Trailer
Question:
Hi I have a question on which way the triangular equalizes mounts, center hole on top u shape down or center hole down and u shape upward. I have mine installed from factory-Pacific Traile and shackle and eye of spring are touching frame , both side of equalizer. Thanks for your time

A tandem axle trailer suspension's equalizers like # TREQE1 should install with the single center hole at the top, where it attaches to the center hanger. This can be seen in the linked diagram taken from our article on double-eye trailer suspensions. This diagram also shows how the shackles should be positioned. Neither the shackle straps nor the spring eyes should be contacting the trailer frame.
