Can a Trailer with Leaf Springs Above Axles be Raised
Question:
I have a 2014 Ram 3500 Dually short bed with a 24K Pullrite super glide, towing a 36foot Voltage Toyhauler. My issue is the front of the trailer is much higher than the rear. Most of the weight is on the rear axel of the trailer, causing abnormal tire wear on the rear tires, and also had a blow out. The trailer has a TrailAir TriGlide installed from the factory and I have to tow with the air bag empty to get as low as possible in the front. I replaced the super glide with an Anderson Ultimate hitch to get the trailer a little lower, but its still to high. The leaf springs are already above the axel. The dealer isnt helping me in any way. Im considering switching the pin box to a standard Lippert 1621. Will this help? Will changing the equalizer help? I towed the same trailer behind a 2014 Ford F250 which squatted the rear of the truck, the trailer was still to high. I need help Thank you

In your situation where you already have the springs above the axles your best option for raising the trailer suspension is to install taller suspension hangers. I attached a link to a page that has all of the hangers we offer. You would want to measure the height of your current ones and then find ones tall.
Ideally you want to have the trailer sitting as level as possible with at least 6 inches between the bed rails and the trailer overhang.
