This setup works perfectly for the multiple trailers I use. Easy to use and change out for the size needed. Much better than carrying around 2 or 3 full setups.

Let's talk about a better mousetrap! This is one of the most versatile towing balls! Ever want to swap out a hitch but didn't want to unpin or unbolt? This two-in-one system allows interchanging the hitch balls with the 2 most popular sizes (Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set # 800B - 1-7/8", 2" Balls - 3/4" XL Shank - Nickel). I use it on my utility tractor when I want to pull the trailer around but don't need (or want) to hook up the big truck - see the picture. You should get this - it's well made, easily adaptable and changes with a simple push of the locking pin. (Be sure and specify 3/4 or 1" shank and they also offer a 3-ball option!) *****

Trailer hitch ball works exactly as it is supposed to.

by:

I've had this type of convertable ball in the past- excellent product. I needed a convertible a few years ago- bought the type with the flat-head screw on top. Turn it and it releases a set of ball bearing to release the ball. Had problems with it from day one. After it got some corrosion in it I could not get the ball off. Tried penatrating oil, heat and the big hammer method. All I got was a stripped screw head. None of the Auto Parts stores I checked carry the pin-type convertible ball, or any of the hardware stores. Don't know why- but they're wrong.

I sold the vehicle with the pin-type convertible. It worked for many years in road-salt ridden PA.

Perfect Performance works exactly the same as it did when it was new

by:

Owning 2 trailers - one with a 2" and one with a 1-7/8" - makes this invaluable in being able to switch between them easily. I also have a bicycle rack that clicks on the empty shank when the ball is removed, making this a requirement.

by:

It's a great product, put the first one on my mom's explorer because we tow 2 trailers with different size balls. I fell in love so I bought a second for my truck, only difference is my truck I mounted it on a receiver bar where the exployer is on the bumper. I highly recommend it if you don't want to carry a bunch of different receiver slide ins with

by:

Easy to use, works well with the trailer hitch. Has been used and love the ability to remove the ball. Fills the need for something to help haul a 250cc motorcycle on a trailer. Would recommend to anyone.

by:

For a couple of days of trying to “buy local,” then failing to locate a retailer (via online inventories, phone calls, visits, etc.) with a Convert-A-Ball in-stock, I finally went back to etrailer. The kit took less than a week to receive. etrailer’s staff always gives an outstanding level of customer service, a set of skills sometimes lacking from other companies. The Convert-A-Ball is an indispensable device for most any trailering situation. It is very well-built and easy to use.

by:

Very easy to install and the balls change very easily. Ball pin hammer center punches to aid in removing the locking pins within the balls. This ball hitch system makes it very easy to change from trailer to trailer.

by:

Quite the product,I have the same hitch on my other truck, liked it alot. That 3 years ago,and the price is still just about the same.Great deal THANK YOU

Ed B.

Still the best deal on market, I strongly suggest buying this product. Thank you Ed B.

by:

This interchangeable hitch ball is indispensible when you need different hitch ball sizes for different trailers. I've had the ball set for the class three hitch for twenty years and when I got a class one hitch, I just has to have fhe flexibility this set offers.

by:

Just what the Dr. ordered. This is the system that I thought I was ordering from another online site. I feel this one, etrailer, is safer. The other Brand "Reese", has ballbearings that hold ball onto the base. If load is light on tongue, doesn't seem safe. I prefer the inserted pin.

by:

This hitch works great. I have 2 trailers and a boat. It converts easily to the different ball sizes. Great value for the price.

by:

Product looks good and should work great. I tow two boats wit different size ball requirements.

This is my second Convert- A- Ball system and as in the past, I found it totally reliable. The push through pin lock is far superior to other types that require a rotational plus vertical movement which requires constant lubrication. I only wish Convert- A- Ball used a higher grade of SS as mine have rusted around the base.

Thanks for the follow up. This particular version of the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable System is a nickel plated version. If you would like a stainless steel version you might check out # 802B.

by:

Trailer tung gets stuck between cone shape section and ball. I would have to get a large bar to get apart a few times. I do not use anymore and bought two seperate balls.

by:

Installed today and towed without a problem. I have 2 different trailers, 1 with a 2" hitch and 1 with 1 7/8". It has always been a pain to switch balls. This makes life easy.

by:

I already liked the product having used them for years. One change was that this time I got stainless to avoid rust.

Working fine. I had previously had identical experience to Russell. Couldn’t find it in stores and the same problem with another brand. That’s why I came back to the Convert-a-Ball. Good service from etrailer.

by:

Customer service is excellent I first ordered the wrong ball they would fit my hitch that I ordered they called me and was able to change the order over the phone to make sure that I get something that I can use thank you very much for good customer service

by:

Now I only need one ball mount for my boat trailer and my utility trailer. One less thing to have rattling round.
Works like a charm.

by:

A fantastic set to hall stuff. This is my second set of Convert-A-Ball units. I had one many years ago on a pickup truck. This will work great on my new set-up. Ball is easy to change and saves money and time. This is a quality product.

by:

1 year review done. A comment- the convertible ball product would greatly benefit from a case to hold the balls not in use

by:

Received the product promptly, and it was exactly what I wanted and exactly how it was described. C'mon, it's a hitch ball... how much can you say about it? "It really hauls!" ? :-)

by:

Man Iam glad I did this. Piece of cake to change Balls, No More under the hitch to see whats hanging up!!. Very Nice Product!!
Thanks for the Great Products.

The Curt Euro-Style Class II ball mount you referenced, part # C45571 features a permanently attached 1-7/8 inch trailer ball which is not removable. If you were wanting a ball mount with a similar rise where you could interchange the trailer ball, I'd recommend going with a standard type ball mount, like part # C45017. • Interchangeable Hitch Ball and Ball Mount Recommendation for a 1-1/4 inch Hitch
Sounds like you are looking for a multi-ball ball mount similar to the part # PS80425 but for a 1-1/4 inch hitch instead. I have a solution for you, but there are no ball mounts like that for the 1-1/4 inch hitches. Instead you would need a ball mount like the part # C45019 which fits 1-1/4 inch hitches and then an interchangeable ball set like part # 800B.
