Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Convert-A-Ball 3 Quarter Inch Diameter Shank. This can be used either as a replacement for your Convert-A-Ball setup or to increase the versatility of your Convert-A-Ball set. This will work with an inch and seven eighths. And two inch interchangeable hitch balls.
It's not gonna be compatible with your two and five 16th interchangeable ball. But it is two and a quarter of an inch long. And it is that three quarter inch diameter. So it is going to fit into your ball mounts with a three quarter inch diameter ball hole. This does have a steel construction.
So it is going to provide us a 3,500 pound towing capacity. It does also use a new, non-electric nickel plating technology that produces a strong, protective finish here. This is gonna be corrosion resistant, non magnetic and stain repellent. So it's gonna stand up to whatever you dish out. It does provide a uniform coverage.
Even on the hard to protect recesses and interior surfaces. The eco-friendly plating method is less harmful to the environment than your traditional chrome electroplating. So, all around a really great option here. This is made here in the USA. So you can trust it is made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products made here in the US.
It's also going to exceed the Trailer Hitch Manufacturer's Association V-5 ratings in all categories. And meet the J684 SAE standard. Have used Convert-a-Ball products for decades. Useful for changing ball size when towing trailers with different size hitches. I also use this shank for a bicycle rack, which is designed to replace the ball.
When purchasing, ensure the shank diameter and length are consistent with the size of your hitch and with your towing needs.
Purchased Covert-A-Ball...works great. Product staff were very helpful...will order additional product soon. Great vendor!

Still working as well as when new. No problems.
Honestly, I have not used the "Convert-A-Ball shank" at all. So I really cannot give it a fair rating. I owned a similar. (possibly the same), shank years ago if this is the same manufacturer, then I can tell you that the product is awesome.
I use the Convert-A-Ball system to ease trailer connection from multiple trailers to multiple vehicles using different size balls. I appreciate etrailers prompt delivery, reliable parts and courteous staff and highly recommend this company.

I like the versa-ball system and the ease of changing balls. I have used the system for many years and had to replace the 3/4" ball mount.

This as well as all Convert A Ball Shanks I have are GREAT. I can switch all three ball sizes between any of the shanks. This is a good cost savings measure. Time saver as well. It only takes seconds to switch between the ball sizes. Great for adjustable shanks to make them very versatile. Adjust ball height and size fast and easy. All available from etrailer.
This is the second one that I have had. The first one I accidently sold on a previous vehicle. The availability of all three size balls is very handy. I purchased a mounting rack and mounted it in the truck tool box so that I had all three balls available in the truck, and locked up so they wouldn't get stolen. Great invention!!!
Changeable trailer hitch mounts. Great idea, saves time in changing different balls and is space efficient. Super item to have if you tow or move trailers etc.
Order came in a short time. Converting to different balls is easy. With different types of hitches makes it simpler than conventional balls.
The convert-a-ball, along with the additional post, will now allow me to use either trailer with either vehicle. Balls switch out quick and easily. Well made product, no more having to constantly switch out balls.
One of the only ways to get 10,000# rated 2" dia ball - these things work great - easy to change ball sizes. A must for Bull Dog 2" couplers............

Works great, someone else liked it to, and walked off with mine so I needed a replacement cuz it is so easy.
Arrived ahead of schedule and in good shape. Everything fit and it raised trailer up to a level height.
