Hitch for 2019 Toyota Camry to Tow Motorcycle Trailer with 565-lb Harley Davidson

Question:

Will this hitch setup be able to tow a motorcycle trailer on a 2019 Toyota Camry? I was looking at towing a Stinger Folding motorcycle trailer with either 565lb Harley or 417lb Yamaha on the back of the vehicle?

I'll start off by mentioning that from my research, it looks like the weight of the Stinger Folding motorcycle trailer you're looking at weighs in at around 220-lbs. When you add the 565-lb Harley to the trailer, you're looking at a total weight of a little less than 800-lbs.

You'll want to consult your owner's manual for confirmation on the towing capacity of your 2019 Toyota Camry, but using the Curt # C11576 should allow you to tow that setup without any issues (I'm showing the towing capacity as 3500-lbs, but as mentioned-consult your owner's manual for confirmation); even if the towing capacity is only 1000-lbs, you'll be fine. The Curt # C11576 has a 1-1/4" receiver and a tongue weight capacity of 200-lbs. It has a towing capacity of 2000-lbs.

To complete your towing setup, you'll need a ball mount, hitch ball and 4 way wiring connector. I've listed those parts below for you to help you easily locate the appropriate parts on our site. I've also linked one of our helpful articles on how to choose a ball mount rise/drop that might be appropriate for you when choosing one, as well as linking our entire selection of 1-1/4" ball mounts.

Ball Mount- Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches - 5/8" Rise, 1-1/4" Drop - 7" Long - 3.5K # 36051
Hitch Ball- Tow Ready Interchangeable Hitch Ball Set with 1-7/8" and 2" Hitch Balls # 63802
Vehicle Wiring Harness- Tekonsha T-One # 118763 (easily installs by Teeing into vehicle lights)

In addition to the article on ball mounts, I've linked some review videos of the products mentioned above that you may want to have a look at, as well.
