Changing your hitch ball size is as easy as pushing out the integrated pin.
No need to get out the heavy wrenches. Convert-A-Ball's interchangeable balls are equipped with integrated pins, making it easy to change out your hitch ball for one of another size.
To switch balls, simply push in the integrated pin (using a pen or your finger) to release and remove installed ball. Then just replace with different-size ball, reversing the process.

This is the second stainless steel "Convert-A-Ball" set that I have owned. The first was sold with my old car a few weeks ago. It is VERY easy to switch between a 1 7/8" and a 2" ball which I need to do several times a year. Previously, it was nearly impossible to switch the balls as you had to use a large wrench and a hammer to unscrew/remove the old rusted ball shank from the hitch. A fantastic invention and I recommend it to anyone.

Good product, I’ve sold my large and small trailers, only use 2” ball on what I have left. No need for this multiple ball setup anymore.
I've used the convert-a-ball on another truck. Since I bought a new truck this is the only ball set up for me. I have a utility trailer with a 1 7/8" ball and farm trailer and wood splitter with a 2" ball. It's such a hassle to switch from one size ball to another plus damage caused by wrenches. With convert-a-ball it simply and fast. I won't ever go back to single ball system.
I found etrailer to have a great selection and service. I really appreciated the product use videos which helped insure I selected the proper size hitch for my vehicle. I received the product quickly in just a few days. I use two trailers requiring a different size hitch ball of 1-7/8 and 2 inches. I am looking forward to being able to switch the set-up with the Convert-A-Ball in just a few seconds without having to use wrenches.
Love this product! I've had a Convert-A Ball set on my truck(s) for about 15 years. I use the 1 7/8" and 2" balls several times a month. It takes about 10 seconds to switch between the two. Much easier and cleaner than switching out ball mounts. These are replacements for my original balls. The locking ring on both balls finally broke and while I continued to use the balls without them, eventually the pins fell out on the road. I figure 15 years of serviceable life is a bargain. I'll use the extra new shank on a ball mount with a different drop so it won't go to waste. Buy these. You won't be disappointed. Also bought a trailer hitch from etrailer for my son's Hyundai Santa Fe a few months ago. Great service and followup from etrailer on both orders. Thanks etrailer.
ellent product. I have had several over the years. Spend the extra money to get the stainless version. My first was not and rusted together so that I couldn't change the balls. I just purchased two more. One to replace one that was stolen from my Yukon XL in a parking lot, and one for the drawbar on my tractor. I have a flatbed trailer to carry the tractor, a small dump trailer, and a log splitter so I am continually switching among all three size balls. Very convenient.
I use this ball for one year. Super good product, no rust, no issue. Extra good quality. Practical and it's easy to store the axtra ball in the spare compartment. Highly recommand this product, and these sellers!

THIS IS A MUST! After a year, Non issues, work perfectly!, Good product.
This is an excellent product. I had one previously and bought another from another company which held the ball on with a screw in the top when I couldn’t find another Convert-a-ball in local stores. Of course the screw rusted and the head stripped trying to change balls. I had to go online and found etrailer who shipped me several more Convert-a-Balls promptly.
Package was received with one corner of cardboard box crushed a bit but still intact. Missing from the box were the 5/8 pin and clip. Called customer service and discovered the issue was there were none in stock so those parts will be shipped when received at etrailer. Lady that answered the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. As for the hitch and ball, I’m sure it will perform as well as the one I had before I was rear ended in an accident. The whole experience with all at etrailer was seamless.
Convert-A-Ball is still my favorite style of interchangeable ball head size systems. I strongly recommend the Stainless version as the pin in the regular chrome versions seem to rust and hang up on you after a couple of years. It is also great to be able to purchase just the two ball version in stainless which includes the 2" and the 1 7/8". I have no need for the 2 5/16" ball, since most of my towing is only medium to light duty.
This is a well made and nicely finished trailer ball. The mechanism for changing the ball works well and appears to be quite robust and safe. It is convenient to be able to change the ball quickly without tools. Since it is machined from stainless steel it shows no wear or discoloration whatsoever.
best product i've ever purchased. I am constantly changing from 1 7/8 to a 2 inch ball. slickest product out. I would suggest purchasing the stainless steel and avoid and corrision. pete from minnesota
The stainless Convert-A-Ball and a chrome receiver make a good combo and stay looking nice. The ball doesn't show any wear. Easy to change ball sizes.
I received everything I ordered in just 3 days. The packaging was good with no damage on any of the parts. Everything fit and I'm ready to tow the boat. Looks like a fishing weekend with the grandkids. Thanks for the fast service.

After many miles of towing I am still happy with the quality and convenience of the convert a ball
A great convenient hitch. Easy to swap out the hitch balls without wrenches or multiple hitches.
Jury is still out on this, have not had a chance to install it on my truck, but did notice that there is some rattle to the ball once its installed on the hitch. Not sure if this rattle will effect anything while pulling or not.. will report back.
Other than that, fit and finish is good and should hold up well to the elements. No more rusty balls!
This is an outstanding product! I am sure it will not rust and will yield many
years of service towing my golf cart and motorcycle. etrailer is a great company to do business with as their shipping is very fast and their communication is excellent! I highly recommend them!
It just works simply and wellI have used this product on two of my cars for over two years. I often tow Junior Sailing trailers and the ball sizes vary. This makes switching ball sizes really easy. Wonderful product. I have recommended them to many and those that purchased the interchangable balls have also been really pleased.
The ball and shank are holding up well after 1 year and I swap the balls frequently. The hex nut is zinc coated steel (not stainless) and is now quite rusted - this product would be better completely stainless.
Stainless Steel Ball setGreat and strong product, rated stronger than Hitch so this is the one item that shoudn't fail you under heavy loads. I have this installed on a 2" Stainless Steel Ball Mount and in use on my 2007 Tacoma D-cab.
I always get great service from etrailer. Shipping was unbelievably fast - as always. I will not be opening the package for a couple of weeks yet, but I am certain all is as ordered.
Great product! Bought same item about 15 years ago and still have it now mounted on my Ford truck. The new one is for our RAV4 Toyota.
