Recommendation for a Trailer Hitch for A 2006 Toyota Prius
Question:
Id like to install a hitch so I can transport- wood splitter, trailer, wood chipper. Need a ball to fit into the hitch. Is this something you also sell, does your hitch accommodate the ball I need. Sizes? 1 7/8 and/or 2

The trailer hitch recommended for your 2006 Toyota Prius is the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch # 24808. The Draw-Tite hitch is a custom-fit hitch that does not sacrifice on quality even though this hitch is the most cost efficient that we carry for the Prius.
You need to note that the owner's manual for the 2006 Toyota Prius states that your vehicel is not recommended for towing and if you decided to tow with your Prius you will be towing at your own risk.
If you decide to tow, then I also recommend the Draw-Tite Sport frame Draw Bar # 3590, which includes the pin and clip, and the Convert-A-Ball Set # 800B. The Convert-A-Ball has both a 1-7/8 and 2 inch ball that can be interchanged when needed.
You also may need a wiring harness # 118505. The harness will allow you to connect to the tail, stop and trun signals on your trailer when towing.
I have included a video that show the installation of the Draw-Tite hitch on a 2006 Toyota Prius and some help articles on trailer hitches for you to read and view.
