Video Transcript for Draw-Tite 2-5/16 Inch Hitch Ball Review

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Draw-Tite Ball Mount ball. So this is gonna go onto your ball mount. It's gonna be a two and 5/16-inch. Let's check it out. All right, so you've already bought your ball mount, you're gonna have to get a ball separately in most cases.

So make sure you check your coupler on your trailer. It's gonna be a two and 5/16-inch ball, so that's gonna line up with the trailer we want to use. Now, you'll also want to check out and make sure you get the right diameter here on the shank. This is gonna be a one-inch diameter on the ball mount we're using today. So it's gonna fit in there just fine.

We drop that in place. It's gonna come with the lock nut, and the regular nut. Got the flat side, so it's easy to help tight down. Now I'm just gonna do it by hand today, because you wanna make sure that you torque this down the right specifications when you set yours up. But this also has the flats on the side for a wrench to help get this really tight.

Because you don't want it to go anywhere when you're going tow a trailer. The ball's gonna being made out of stainless steel, so you don't have to worry about leaving it out. If you leave it on the hitch all the time, the elements aren't gonna bother it. It will get scratched up a little bit when you put it in a coupler, but that's just usually what happens as you use these. With that being said, that's about it.

It's gonna be a good choice, if that's the size ball and the shank diameter you need for your ball mount and your trailer set up, it's gonna work great. I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, and hope this helped.

The products look wonderful and the price, service on the phone when ordering was exceptional. I tried a local trailer guy on Grand Rapids and got no place and wasted 15 minutes on the phone.

by:

This stainless ball will not rust and the trailer hitches up smoothly. I'm very happy with it

by:

Awesome and will never rust! As described and looks good mounted on my Diversitec aluminum receiver! Fast shipping. If you have a custom truck. Stainless is the way to go!

by:

Ball was great hitch was well made but very sloppy on the receiver

by:

Ordering this product was easy and described perfectly. As of yet, I have not installed the ball. I must find the proper torque for use. I do find your product smooth and well made. I am sure I will have no problem with the ball.

by:

Finally, no more rusty pant legs after I accidentally bump into the hitch ball! Definitely worth the extra $$ for a stainless version.

I wasn't sure which hitch ball to get but I called and Paula was super helpful with me. I told her which bumper I was getting but didn't which hitch ball to get. I'm not a truck guy, in fact, I'm not a fan but this is supposed to be a gift for my son to his truck so I wanted it to be perfect and Paula was great she added it to my order for me. Once I got the bumper on, the hitch ball went perfect right after. Definitely worth the purchase and my son's truck looks so much better now.

by:

Yes the trailer, ball hitch and battery you installed worked great. It has served us well and you did a great job.

by:

One year later and still happy with product and support available from etrailer.com! I use this to tow a pop-up to/from track days with my Camaro.

by:

Hitch ball worked great for the hitch we put on our 2008 Pontiac vibe.

by:

Defective electric hitch replaced in 4 days. Agent was kind enough to mail a shiping label because my printer was broke and i could not print a email. I had Amazon orders needing a return, but they just advised me to find a place to copy the email

  • Trailer Hitch, Ball Mount, Hitch Ball, and Wiring Recommendations for a 2010 Subaru Forester
We gauge difficulty of installing a trailer hitch by how long it takes (on average for the every day do-it-yourselfer) to perform the installation. We rate each of the 2 inch hitches for the 2010 Subaru Forester a 4 out of 10, meaning it will take about 40 minutes. All of the 2 inch hitches will require temporary lowering of the exhaust and the widening of a few holes on the frame using a drill (no new holes need to be drilled) to install the hitch. You will also need to fishwire some...

  • Can a Trailer Hitch Be Detected by the Back Up Sensors on a 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid
The available hitches for your 2009 Ford Escape will all extend a little beyond the bumper, but not by much; only about 1 inch. What you can do to test the sensors ahead of time is to place something that extends about 1 inch from the bumper where the hitch would be. If the sensors pick it up, then there is a possibility they will sense the hitch. I would think it is unlikely since the distance is only 1 inch and a steep angle up to the sensors. Even if the hitch did trip the sensors...

  • What is Needed to Tow Safely With a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE?
Happy to see that safety is important enough that you'd ask, and the answer is no, you do not need any additional equipment such as engine coolant in order to tow safely with your 2011 Toyota Sienna. Now, that does not necessarily mean something like a transmission cooler is a bad idea, as it will stop your Sienna from working quite so hard, but it is not necessary. What you will need, however, is a hitch, and the Curt # C13105 has a 2" x 2" opening with a max tongue weight of 350 lbs...

  • Hitch for Towing 7500 lb Travel Trailer With 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500
