Multiple Stacked Receivers for Easy Adjustment

stacked receivers

This unique mount from Gen-Y Hitch includes a ball mount that can be easily positioned in one of the 4 stacked receivers that sits along the vertical shank of the unit. This dual-ball mount lets you tow a trailer with a 2" ball coupler or a 2-5/16" ball coupler.

pintle hitch

Also included is a pintle lock, which can be inserted into the receiver directly above the ball mount to create a pintle hitch for hooking up a trailer with a lunette ring. Unlike other adjustable pintle hooks on the market, there are no nuts and bolts to remove and retorque when you change the positioning of this hitch. Just move the ball mount and pintle lock up or down to get the proper height and secure them in place with the included pins.

With the 4 stacked receivers, not only do you have the ability to adjust the height of the included ball mount, but you also have the ability to add various other hitch-mounted accessories. Insert a bike rack or cargo carrier. Mount a spare tire carrier. Use a tow bar to flat tow your vehicle. Or just add a fun hitch cover.

It’s heavy duty. I think it weighs as much as my equalizer hitch. I just got a new truck so we’ll see on a hitch height but on my old truck I wish I’d gotten the hitch with one height up so I had more adjustment and so it’s off hitting the ground. Oh well I tried guessing. I should of listened to the spirit. But a great heavy duty hitch.

I just installed the Gen-Y and its way better than my last one (much more stout). I put it on a 2011 f350 with a leveling kit on 35s and Im defiantly glad that I got one with the 7 inch drop. Im also going to be putting it on a Kubota M-120 to pull a 12ft box scraper.

Great service, fast shipping,excellent product

Received my hitch as described and within a reasonable amount of time.Have used it several times and it performs admirably. Recommend it for your towing needs. The only thing I would change is to have a cable attached to the clip and thru pin. I attached a stainless steel wire to prevent the two from being lost or misplaced. J

Very helpful and eager to help

by:

A new truck we received had a utility body on it that protruded past the receiver hitch far enough that we had to use an extender in order to pull a trailer. The hitch extensions were limited to 3500 lbs trailer weight. This ball mount solved the issue with not having to use a hitch extender, plus it's adjustable towing height enables us to pull our trailers level. It also allow us to use a pintle hitch without having to change ball mounts. This unit is well made and durable.

by:

Was going back and forth between this Gen-Y and a B&W trailer hitch. I have never had a B&W but I am sure it is a great product as well. I chose this Gen-Y because it has the added advantage of pulling a trailer with a pintle hitch. I have three trailers all with different set ups. A 2in, 2 5/16, and a pintle hitch. With this set up I can pull all three with the same hitch. Perfect for my needs. I ordered it on Sunday evening and it was at my door by Tuesday afternoon. Excellent product and service.

by:

It's very solidly built and easy to adjust. My only issue is that the pins to lock the ball and the pintle piece in place are not lockable. I'd be very upset if someone stole them out of the hitch.

by:

Very attentive and knowledgeable customer service . My gen-y Hitch hitch locks and 2.5" reducer sleeve all arrived just as ordered:) My order arrived in 3 days which was 1 day sooner than expected:) Excellent experience

by:

I think the best way to describe this hitch is BEEFY! It is crazy durable and is the only hitch you will ever need considering you can later add weight distribution and sway control.

by:

Heavy, well constructed, like the bolts that decrease/eliminate rattle. Bought this to replace my aluminum ball mount. For a 2” ball it was rated at 8,000 lbs, this one is 12,000 lbs. I can see why. It’s overkill if you are towing smaller trailers, waverunners, etc. But I upgraded for my boat which is about 8,000 lbs fully loaded. This should have not prbalrns holding up to that and more.

by:

This is my 2nd Gen-Y hitch. They are the best of the best. Wouldnt waste my hard earned money on anything else! Yes they are expensive but, buy once and cry once!

by:

I have used etrailer multiple times for my business, They are always very efficient and have what I need. Received the order the next day with confirmation the order was picked and on its way.

by:

I wanted to be able to tow any trailer with a single hitch and that is why I purchased this model. Any size ball and pintle hitch all in one implement is great.... the drawback, this thing weights a lot. I don't like leaving the hitch on the truck if I'm not towing, but this thing is too heavy to move and I'm worried about this much weight bending the toolbox on the truck if I hit a bump.

For measurement purposes... This is a 2000 F-350 4x4 on stock 16" rims and tires and a CM flatbed. I got the 5" drop\rise model and it looks like it is going to be great. In case i need it, I added the 1 7/8" ball to the drawbar. When I can afford to get three matched key pins I will order them.

by:

Overall the hitch is heavy duty and solid. I have ready some reviews about the Pintle option and have used mine for the first time towing an empty trailer. It is showing some wear behind the ball where the wedge is welded. I will try it with a load and see how it holds up.
i hate to give a negative review but for the money it should not have that excessive amount of wear with it’s first use.
I have a curt hitch with the Pintle and it has worked perfectly. I was looking for something that had a better curb appeal with the Gen Y.

  • Recommended Ball Mount With Multiple Balls That Can Also Have Pintle Hook
I have another option for you, but there is not a pintle hook option for the Buyers Products Adjustable Tri-Ball Hitch - Solid Shank with Chrome Balls # 3371802225 you were looking at. Instead I recommend the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 7-1/2" Drop/Rise - 16K # 325-GH-524 which includes a 2" hitch ball with a 12000lb trailer weight rating, a 2-5/16" hitch ball with a 16000lb trailer weight rating, and a pintle hook lock which can be placed over either...

  • Recommended Adjustable Ball Mount to Replace Curt Rebellion XD With Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler
For a replacement shock-absorbing adjustable ball mount I recommend the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 7-1/2" Drop/Rise - 10,000 lbs # 325-GH-1025. The Gen-Y design is incredibly sturdy and will have no problem handling your trailer. This uses a stacked receiver design and has a heavy-duty steel construction. The Gen-Y requires a tongue weight of 400-1,000 lbs for the shock-absorption to work so at 4,000 lbs you should be meeting that requirement. It also...

  • Can Gen-Y Phantom Adjustable 2 Ball Mount Be Used With Pintle Hitch
According to Gen-Y, the Phantom Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # GY98XR is not rated for use with a pintle hitch. If you want to use a pintle hitch you will need the regular Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers. Although this does not come with a 6" rise/drop for a 2" receiver, we do have a 5" rise drop # 325-GH-523 or 7-1/2" # 325-GH-524 available. Both of these come with the pintle lock.

  • Can I Use The Gen-Y Ball Mount 325-GH-524 As A Drop Hitch For A Tow Bar?
Yes, you can absolutely use a Gen-Y Adjustable ball mount like the # 325-GH-524 as a drop hitch for flat towing a vehicle. We have checked with the manufacturer and confirmed this on several occasions. The Gen-Y ball mount is very well built and can handle tongue weight upwards of 2,000 lbs. Flat towing generally puts very little tongue weight on the hitch, so you are going to be well under capacity for this ball mount. Some folks will even use it as a dual hitch and add a second hitch...

  • In Need Of A 2-5/16" Hitch Ball For A 2006 Toyota Tundra
I can certainly point you in the right direction. Firstly, we suggest checking your owners manual and verifying that you can tow 6,000 lbs with your truck. If it is able to tow 6K or more then we can set you up. If you do not have a factory hitch, you can use the Curt class 3 hitch # C13180. This hitch can tow up to 6,000 lbs, so just enough for your horse trailer. As far as a ball mount and 2-5/16" ball I recommend using an adjustable ball mount like the bulletproof hitch # MD206. • Why Are There Extra Hitch Pin Holes on the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount 325-GH-524
There are two hitch pin holes on the shank of the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount part # 325-GH-524 to allow for compatibility with different receivers. Trucks typically use the one closest to the vertical portion and SUVs typically use the one furthest from the vertical portion. If both work for you, use the one closest to the vertical portion of the ball mount as this will place more of the shank inside the receiver offering more support. The two hitch pin holes on the first stacked receiver...
