It’s heavy duty. I think it weighs as much as my equalizer hitch. I just got a new truck so we’ll see on a hitch height but on my old truck I wish I’d gotten the hitch with one height up so I had more adjustment and so it’s off hitting the ground. Oh well I tried guessing. I should of listened to the spirit. But a great heavy duty hitch.1605873

I just installed the Gen-Y and its way better than my last one (much more stout). I put it on a 2011 f350 with a leveling kit on 35s and Im defiantly glad that I got one with the 7 inch drop. Im also going to be putting it on a Kubota M-120 to pull a 12ft box scraper. 790642

Received my hitch as described and within a reasonable amount of time.Have used it several times and it performs admirably. Recommend it for your towing needs. The only thing I would change is to have a cable attached to the clip and thru pin. I attached a stainless steel wire to prevent the two from being lost or misplaced. J1108357

A new truck we received had a utility body on it that protruded past the receiver hitch far enough that we had to use an extender in order to pull a trailer. The hitch extensions were limited to 3500 lbs trailer weight. This ball mount solved the issue with not having to use a hitch extender, plus it's adjustable towing height enables us to pull our trailers level. It also allow us to use a pintle hitch without having to change ball mounts. This unit is well made and durable.815441

Was going back and forth between this Gen-Y and a B&W trailer hitch. I have never had a B&W but I am sure it is a great product as well. I chose this Gen-Y because it has the added advantage of pulling a trailer with a pintle hitch. I have three trailers all with different set ups. A 2in, 2 5/16, and a pintle hitch. With this set up I can pull all three with the same hitch. Perfect for my needs. I ordered it on Sunday evening and it was at my door by Tuesday afternoon. Excellent product and service.617050

It's very solidly built and easy to adjust. My only issue is that the pins to lock the ball and the pintle piece in place are not lockable. I'd be very upset if someone stole them out of the hitch. 459856

I think the best way to describe this hitch is BEEFY! It is crazy durable and is the only hitch you will ever need considering you can later add weight distribution and sway control. 510532

Heavy, well constructed, like the bolts that decrease/eliminate rattle. Bought this to replace my aluminum ball mount. For a 2” ball it was rated at 8,000 lbs, this one is 12,000 lbs. I can see why. It’s overkill if you are towing smaller trailers, waverunners, etc. But I upgraded for my boat which is about 8,000 lbs fully loaded. This should have not prbalrns holding up to that and more. 616431

I wanted to be able to tow any trailer with a single hitch and that is why I purchased this model. Any size ball and pintle hitch all in one implement is great.... the drawback, this thing weights a lot. I don't like leaving the hitch on the truck if I'm not towing, but this thing is too heavy to move and I'm worried about this much weight bending the toolbox on the truck if I hit a bump.

For measurement purposes... This is a 2000 F-350 4x4 on stock 16" rims and tires and a CM flatbed. I got the 5" drop\rise model and it looks like it is going to be great. In case i need it, I added the 1 7/8" ball to the drawbar. When I can afford to get three matched key pins I will order them.1545899

Overall the hitch is heavy duty and solid. I have ready some reviews about the Pintle option and have used mine for the first time towing an empty trailer. It is showing some wear behind the ball where the wedge is welded. I will try it with a load and see how it holds up.
i hate to give a negative review but for the money it should not have that excessive amount of wear with it’s first use.
I have a curt hitch with the Pintle and it has worked perfectly. I was looking for something that had a better curb appeal with the Gen Y.1527347
