I would like to clarify some terminology so that we are on the same page, the hitch is the part attached to your 2008 Chevy Uplander. Then the ball mount or drawbar is attached to the hitch receiver using a pin and clip, or locking mechanism. Then the ball mount is outfitted with the appropriate size trailer ball. The diameter of the trailer ball shank needs to be compatible with hole the ball mount and the diameter of the trailer ball needs to be compatible with the trailer coupler.
Since you said you already have the pop-up trailer that uses a 2 inch trailer trailer ball I am assuming that you already have a complete towing system for towing that trailer with your Chevy Uplander. You most likely already have an appropriate ballmount with the proper rise needed to tow your pop-up. If that is not the case please let me know and I can make additional recommendations for you. I have also included a link to a helpful FAQ article that demonstrates how to measure for the correct rise or drop ball mount to tow your trailer.
More than likely with the vehicle and 2 types of trailers that you mentioned the correct ball mount will most likely be in rise position for towing. I recommend using an interchangeable hitch ball system. This will give you the versatility to tow both of your trailers, minimize the need for additional ballmounts, and more cost effective than buying two separate ball mounts, and trailer ball for each size. If your current ball mount is compatible with a 3/4 diameter trailer ball shank then I recommend the # 800B, however if you need a 1inch diameter trailer ball shank then you would use the # 901B.
I have provided links to the parts listed above, videos of the products, and a few helpful articles for your reference.
