The hitch adapter and 90 degree mount solved my desire to mount my electric wench on my auto trailer replacing the manual wench. See photo.

The 2" sleeve would not come out of the existing 2" receiver so I used the hitch adapter to make the transition. The etrailer experts correctly told me there would be some play in this joint. However, it works here (as this is not for towing).

I also used the 90 degree mount upside down (also not an approved application). But again no towing is involved. I did need to drill a new hole in the receiver.

E-Trailer fits like a glove and is so easy to install. Thanks

All the parts ordered are of great quality and fit properly. Packaging needs work. The original box was ripped open and had been taped back together by the shipper(UPS). The hitch was still secure but the tow bar was loose and the pin and clip were missing. etrailer sent another pin and clip.
In the future possibly adding some fiber tape would lessen the chance of boxes being mangled.

by:

Hitch looks good, Haven't used it yet but am sure it will be fine. However, I ordered 2 different sizes of pins. Was supposed to get 1 small pin (1/2") for the 1-1/4"x 1-1/4" part of the hitch and 1 large (5/8") pin for the 2"x 2" part of the hitch. What I got were 2 large (5/8") pins.

by:

Good quality, but it turns out its too big for the cargo basket and 1 1/4 trailer hitch I had installed.

by:

We just wanted to tell you how much we appreciated your customer service. We were called Sunday evening, the day after Christmas, and told that the clip my husband had ordered wouldn't work with the other parts.
#1 We were surprised that anyone would be working the day after Christmas on a Sunday evening.
#2 A real person was looking at the order and realized the components ordered wouldn't work together.
#3 The real person called and corrected the ordered parts.
In these days of having to work our way through phone keyboard selections and live chat with computers, it was refreshing to have an actual person catch the problem ahead of sending us an unworkable element, calling us about it, and correcting the problem. We're leaving for FL for the winter on Friday and are planning on taking our bikes. The wrong part would have made our hitch unusable, thus forcing us to leave the bikes at home. With no time to order and receive the correct part, your employee helped to make our winter more enjoyable. Thank you so much.

I have bought two trailer hitches and a cargo carrier. And, have been extremely pleased with all three. They are easy to install and high quality products.

by:

It worked great. Leveled out the trailer perfect. Thanks again for your help, good product, and prompt delivery.

Okay so instillation was quite simple once I got the wires ran. So I had to remove the rear bumper for instillation of the wires. In the video it made it seem that it would be a quick instillation. 4-5 hours I spent intotal to install. It was about 3 hours with removal of the rear cover. It was so much easier taking off the bumper then trying to feed it like they showed.

by:

Just what I needed to use my 2 inch bike rack on my 1&1/4 inch hitch.Very impressed with the heavy duty makeup of the product. I,m sure it will last longer than I will.

by:

Clip interferes with safety chain hooks. Different size clips should be provided.

by:

I received the order within two days. My son installed the Hitch this past weekend with no problems.
Your service was excellent and your sales person was wonderful. He guided me through what I was looking for and answered all my questions with patience.

by:

The price was reasonable, the product was, as advertised and the delivery time was incredible. I ordered it on Monday and had it delivered on Wednesday. The cargo carrier had eleven bolts! It took me no time at all to assemble it. Great service, product and price. I am totally satisfied!

by:

Everything I needed all the way down to the clips and cost effective. 52 yr. old grandma, and I was able to install it myself. Video on installation was helpful and gave me confidence to attempt the job myself.Instructions were very user friendly. etrailer.com all the way.
Thanks guys!

by:

The retaining pin fits a Class I hitch, as promised, although the clip looks delicate.
The clip will be easy to take on and off, but I wish that there were a more secure type so I didn't have to worry about it on the road.

by:

It's a pin! nothing too crazy has been doing the job for a light duty trailer no problem. I did manage to bend the end of the pin on my first one somehow but I think it was due to a drop/getting stepped on etc. Still functions well

by:

It is a great product , only one thing i would change is to make the pin sold with a hole so the clip would go threw the pin in case the chains snag the clip.

by:

Good price. Bought an extra one since I didn't know it was already included in the trailer hitch purchase. Not sure if I just missed it in the description or it wasn't mentioned. Overall very happy with purchase and delivery speed.

by:

It's a hitch pin...not alot to say about it. It works. eTrailer is a great source for all of your trailering needs. I've ordered before and will again!

by:

Looks good so far. It’s a Christmas gift so won’t put it together til then but looks nice. It was recommended as one that will fit our odd size hitch receiver so hope it works.

by:

The whole reason you shop at etrailer in the first place - great selection, fair price and prompt shipping. It really couldn't be any easier.

by:

I used this pin to install a 1,5 inch to 2 inch receiver adaptor. Appears to be good quality, didn't rattle and fit snugly.

by:

Well made hitch pin. This is the second time I have bought from etrailer.com. both experiences were great.Their service is second to none.

by:

Product fits fine, looks to be of good quality and shipped quickly. My go-to shop for hitch needs

  • Trailer Hitch for Carrying Mobility Scooter with 2014 Chevy Malibu
Because the 2014 Chevy Malibu uses a Class II hitch like the Curt # C12115 that has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening, it wouldn't be a good vehicle to carry a mobility scooter with, unless you can find one that's compatible with a 1-1/4 inch hitch. Unfortunately, all the scooter carriers we offer are only compatible with a 2 inch receiver. The best solution I could offer would be a small trailer like # K2MMT4X6. To equip your Malibu for towing, in addition to the hitch you'll also need a...

  • Trailer Hitch Fit for 2014 Subaru Impreza 5-Door Hatchback
As long as your 2014 Subaru Impreza isn't a WRX or WRX STi model (and it sounds like it isn't), the Curt # C11286 is the correct fit. If you DO have the WRX or WRX STi, you'd then need the # C11120. If you'll be doing some light duty towing, you'll also need the # 118573 for the non-WRX models or # 119250KIT for the WRX and WRX STi. You'll also need the # C45521 ball mount, the # PC2 hitch pin and for a trailer ball, part # A-80 for a 1-7/8 ball or # A-82 for a 2 inch ball.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport with Dual Exhaust
Yes, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 24865, will fit on all models of the 2010 Ford Fusion including the sport with dual exhaust. This hitch installs exactly the same as Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, 60282, which has been discontinued, and we have pictures and a video of it installed on a 2010 Fusion with dual exhaust. I have provided a link to the video for reference. The recommended ball mount but for the Draw-Tite Hitch is # 3594. For a ball you can use # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter)...

  • Is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch for a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Strong Enough to Tow Utility Trailer
It really just depends on the weight of the trailer. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36296 that you referenced has towing capacities of 3,500 gross trailer weight and 300 lbs tongue weight. You will need to know the gross trailer weight and tongue weight of the trailer you plan on towing and as long as it does not exceed the capacities of the # 36296 and the towing capacities that are listed in the owners manual of your 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan you would be good. These will move the hitch pin hole of the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11126 on your 2006 Mini Copper further out to make it easier to install your bike rack. I do recommend using an anti-rattle device like the Quiet Hitch # RM-061-125 to help reduce any play in the hitch receiver. You can then use a pin and clip # PC2 or a locking hitch pin # e98879 to secure and leave the extension installed on your...

It will provide you with a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver that has a gross towing capacity of 2,000 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds. If you plan on doing any towing you will also need wiring, # C56220 for models with LED taillights and # C56222 for models without. The hitch pin you need is going to depend on which size receiver you have on your hitch. Just to be clear, the cotter pin is the smaller pin that comes with the hitch pin in order to secure it. This being said, I'd recommend going with a Class III hitch with the 2-inch receiver opening, like part # e78KR. The 2-inch receiver is much more common, and there are a lot more available accessory options for the 2-inch receiver such as cargo carriers or bike racks. If your Impreza doesn't have a knock out panel then you're going to need a 1-1/4 inch hitch which I suggest the Draw-Tite Sportframe Class I # DT24959 since you have the hatchback and not a sedan.
