Didn’t take any time to hookup, just have to pay attention because wires are different colors on the Tahoe than the brake controller. The vehicle wires have a paper tag that tells which wire goes where as does the instructions on the controller. I can confirm the wiring harness and Takonsha P3 will work on a 2023 Tahoe!

Perfectly!

by: 01/10/2024

This adapter is only for round pins. If the 7-pin connector on your vehicle has flat blades instead of round pins, this adapter will not work.

I'll give it five stars because I expect it works fine, I just didn't realize I needed to check the pins. No fault of the part.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Odelia when ordering. Odelia was fantastic and made the ordering process very easy. I have ordered multiple times over the years with ETRAILER.COM, it is always accurate and as described. Don't hesitate to order, it is a great company to purchase items. Thanks again Odelia.

i have a third tow vehicle that i plan on sharing my break controller with and this makes that possible.

Good quality product. Perfect fit for my trailer brake controller that had to moved to a new truck.

by:

I ordered these parts to replace a controller that went bad in one of my work vans. The etrailer website was very helpful with pictures and descriptions of the various controllers that would work for my vehicle and suggested i order an optional wiring harness, which i did. The pricing was good. Also i didnt ask for it, but after i ordered online, the sales dept upgraded the shipping at no additional cost and i got an emails when it shipped and when it arrived. Overall im very pleased with etrailer. Thank you

There still working

by:

This is the wiring pigtail that the brake controller SHOULD have included to begin with! 35 inches of wire to work with versus 8 inches. Exactly what is necessary to do a neat and flexible wiring job. Thank you E-trailer for offering this. Shame on Tekonsha for not including this. I suggest that etrailer offer this as a frequent add-on to provide the installer / consumer with flexibility of installation. If I had known I would have purchased with my initial order and saved the shipping cost.

Perfectly

Both of my items (trailer wire harness and trailer axle) came in perfect condition and right on time. I couldn’t be happier with etrailer! They also have a great selection and you can’t beat the prices.

Thousands of miles later the axle is still working great! I highly recommend it as a replacement axle, my trailer had a lower pound rear axle and was bent after a few years of use, the axle from e-trailer was easy to install and has been great!

by:

Works fine..easy to install

etrailer was the best company I've ever dealt with online. I told Melinda E. what I wanted to do and she put together a package of the hitch, wiring harness, and brake controller for me.

Everything installed perfectly and I just got back from towing a 10,000 lb trailer over 600 miles.

I have already recommended etrailer to friends and I can confidently say they are the ONLY place I'll buy trailering equipment from.

Thanks Melinda!!

I didn't get this to replace a bad connector but to install my Tekonsha Prodigy P3 into another truck. I have more than one truck I tow with so using this harness and the mount bracket (part # 5906) I'm able to move my brake controller to whichever truck I'm using to tow with. The bracket and harness are MUCH cheaper than buying another controller and the bracket is made to be able to quick release the controller. This ability to move the controller from truck to truck is one of the reasons I chose the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller in the first place.

by:

Great price on a pigtail harness for the Prodigy brake controller! This particular item has longer wires than a similar harness listed on this site and also includes crimp connectors as well. The best part was that it costs less than the regular harness.

by:

I needed to be able to move my brake controller between vehicles. For a fraction of the cost of a second controller I was able to easily install a bracket and wiring harness in my second vehicle. etrailer provided good parts, great prices and fast shipping.

by:

This wiring harness was exactly what I needed to install my trailer brake controller in my new van. Wire guage matched that of my van and also included connectors making it quick and easy. Etrailer does it again.

by:

Perfect. Instructions were clear and precise. Plenty of wire for the install on my jeep grand wagoneer. Everthing i needed was included in my order with a mini test light too!! I only went to the parts store once during the installion- I wanted heat shrink connectors for the connections on the exterior of the car. But that's just me. Otherwise there were actually a few extra connectors that I wouldn't have needed in the kit. Awesome. Customer rep was a pleasure to deal with as well!!

by:

Completed the entire installation in about 15 minutes. I watched the etrailer [install] video for the installation and it was a breeze.

After one year of use, no issues and works as needed.

by:

Was shorted a wiring harness for a break controller from another supplier so ordered it from etrailer. Original suppier finally sent the harness so etrailer was kind enough to let me return theirs for full price less original shipping. Thank you etrailer.

by:

Great brake controller. Easy install. Good costumer support. Installed in my motor home. 2017 Liesure Unity Murphy bed. Mercedes 3500 Sprinter. Mercedes dealer wanted over $800.00 to do install. I did it myself for the cost of Tekonsha voyager controller and pigtail wire harness. Plug and play as they say..
Thanks

by:

Everything etrailer does is top notch.

by:

Ordered the pigtail kit for our prodigy brake controller so we could use the controller in both our rv and pick up truck. Our rv rep said they couldn't get one that we needed that we needed to furnish one. etrailer was right there, easy to understand description, product arrived in 2 days. Wham bam it's installed. Thanks guys.

by:

Purchased to compliment my Draw-Tite I- Command Proportional controller (P#5535). Made for easy install in my 97 Ram 1500. Used with the ETBC7 Wiring harness.

by:

This allows me to switch my brake controller between vehicles. I used this as part of several parts to install hitch and brake controller on a 2017 Jeep Cherokee latitude v6. Parts used 118605, C13171, 6927, 7894 and ETBC7.

by:

This kit had everything I needed. With the help of your videos, I was able to install it myself on my 2013 Toyota Highlander. I did have to drill through the firewall though. For that you will need an a sharp drill bit, a grommet and some silicone caulk.

by:

I needed another pigtail adapter, so I could use my Tekonsha brake controller in a 2nd vehicle.

This is just what I needed for a great price.

  • Replacement Wiring Harness for a Prodigy Brake Controller on a 2010 Mercedes ML
There is not a brake controller wiring harness available for the Mercedes ML series vehicles. You will need the Replacement Plugin Harness for Tekonsha and Draw-Tite Brake Controllers, item # 7894, to hard wire your Prodigy brake controller. You could just remove the ford connector from the wiring on the brake controller. Be sure to remove the right end. I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and his advice is that you should take the ML Class vehicle to the dealer to have the brake controller...
