Install your electric brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the junction box beneath your 's dashboard.
Features:
This adapter plugs into the 6-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. Older models will have the harness located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. Newer models have the harness under the dash, above the gas pedal.
To install your electric brake controller you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein these wires are run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. Often, a brake controller wiring harness is included with your tow package. This harness plugs into a port beneath your dash and connects to the four wires of the brake controller. If, however, you have a brake controller with a plug in place of the four loose wires, you can use the Tekonsha adapter.
This adapter requires no hardwiring. It is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller for the simplest installation possible. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.

Install your electric brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the junction box beneath your vehicle's dashboard.I purchased the 3050-P quick connect wire harness for the ease of installation.
My 2008 Nissan Titan has the big tow package and I needed an electric brake system.
All I had to do was remove two phillips head screws and the lower dash panel pulls off. Locate the factory brake harness which is taped up at the emergency brake and attach the two together. I routed the harness to the right side of the lower dash because I'm right handed but, there is enough wire to move it to other areas within reason.
I also purchased the pod Pro Series 80500 which serves 1 or 2 axel brake systems. I mounted it to my lower dash on the right side within reach and it plugs right into the wire harness.
I have not had chance to use the new system yet but, am confident that etrailer has sold me a system that will work for me.
Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller And wiring harness purchased to pull 20’ enclosed trailer on my Infiniti QX 80. Installation was easy and correct the first time. Controller works great. Thank you etrailer
Excellent quality of materials, fit perfectly fine on our 2018 Infiniti QX-60. Just make sure to take the cap off from the break connector in order to fit the plug and play wire harness. Cap is attached.
Thanks,

The product has been working flawless.
It was easy to use this short wiring harness to connect a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller to the factory installed under-dash connector on our new 2015 Xterra. ALL 2015 Xterras have that under-dash connector, regardless of trim level or model. Previous years may also, just look for the white 6-conductor connector that is taped to a wire bundle under the dash above the right side of the driver footwell (see my photo). The cable was just the right length to make the connection to the brake controller mounted to the plastic panel just up from the hood release tab (see the other photo). Because the brackets supplied with the controller would have placed the controller about an inch from the dash surface, creating a knee-banger situation, I instead use some industrial quality 3M dual-lock fastener (like velcro on steroids) to mount the controller. The controller is securely mounted right up against the dash panel, but is still is removable, if needed.
If you also need a rear 7-way connector harness and the relays that all plug into the factory installed connectors, I highly recommend #118266. It provides everything you will need except for the bracket to mount the 7-way connector to the bottom lip of the rear bumper, see #TM76474.
I received the Prodigy 3 brake controller very quick. It was a plug and play. Installation was completed in less than 30 minutes. Etrailer are the best.
Janet was very helpful in answering my questions and helping me select the correct trailer brake controler for my 2007 Nissan Frontier. Didn't need to cut and crimp wires, it was all plug and play. I needed it ASAP and got it in two days. It's good to have customer service in the U.S. and not have to struggle with foreign accents. Thanks etrailer!

The controller and cable are still working well, no problems.
Fast delivery and the product was as easy to install as shown in the installation videos on your website.
I am still very much satisfied with my Tekonsha brake system and harness. It has continued to work flawlessly and has prevented an accident on more than one occasion. I’m glad I spent the little bit extra considering the ease of installation and continued reliability!
This one worked great. I had previously bought one from another online retailer (exact same part) and for some reason it would not hold the connection with the electric brake controller. It would lose power, basically turn off when on the road. A call to Tekonsha was no help what so ever!
Product was correct, fit,on time and simple to install. All the above are very uncommon these days. First time I have used etrailer won't be the last.Thanks.

Still works great.
I purchased this along with the brake controller for my 2017 Nissan Frontier. Very easy to install and has been working flawless for me.
I had a little difficulty making sure that this was the correct adapter for my 2017 Nissan Armada, but it is. They are the same connector as 2015.
I also had trouble locating the factory pre-wiring and tgere was nothing in my Nissan owners manual that I could find. If you have a 2017 Armada the pre-wiring is on the right side of the steering column, above the accelerator (see pic). From what I understand, on the previous generation vehicles, the pre-wiring was on the left side near the e-brake.
As far as the product itself, it works, fit properly, and the wiring is solid.
Simple plug and play with my 2006 Nissan Titan, and etrailer staff was extremely helpful

Still working good :
Seems it was tailor-made for our Frontier. The ease of installation is only surpassed by a leading name in brake controllers.
Received item before expected date. Fit perfectly in my 2014 Nissan Frontier.
I ordered this with the # 90195 Tekonsha P3 Trailer Brake Controller. This adaptor is perfect, no cutting into wires or using wire taps, just plug and play, that's the way I like doing things looks more like factory install. worked out great for me on my Nissan 2017 Titan. way to go
Installed in 2013 Frontier Kingcab with 7-wire Nissan factory harness. With the Tekonsha wiring adapter it simply plugged-in, cable-tied to the under-dash wiring and was done. Rather than drill the dash for the mount, the mounting bracket was velcro'ed (adhesive backed) to the flat area between the seats (slightly under the dash). See attached picture. Appears to be functioning well with no issues.
The brake control harness I purchased from etrailer was exactly what I need and was very easy to install; especially with their product video showing step-by-step installation process. The harness works great with my Tekonsha Primus IQ brake control for my 2011 Nissan Frontier. Great product, great process and delivery came in less than a week.
Delivery dates were changed a few times. I ordered item # 3050-P, However, item I received was marked 3050. It worked ok. Only problem was trying to locate area where to plug in wiring adapter underneath Frontier dash board.
Worked perfectly on my 2014 Nissan Frontier. Wanted to place my Tekonsha Prodigy P3 in the center console area and not have to drill a very large hole for the harness to feed thru. Merely removed the 4 wires from the end of one connector, fed thru, and reassembled.
I have a 2016 Nissan Frontier with the factory towing package. Etrailer.com could not confirm that the wiring adapter works with my vehicle.
The sales rep I spoke to at etrailer.com was super patient and accommodating. I bought the product not 100% sure if it would fit.
It fits! Super easy install. Plugged one end into the harness under the dash and the other end into the Tekonsha brake controller. Under 1 minute install!
Thank you etrailer for a great buying experience!

A year later and still as happy as the first day I bought the product!
I traded in my Ford E350 for a new 2017 Nissan 3500 NV and realized that I no longer had a break controller for my van. The dealer didn't have any in stock and didn't offer installs so after a brief search on etrailers I found the right product, which even included the easy to use cable harness connector and I was able to install my new break controller in about 30 mins!
Perfect fit.
No hassles with install.
Best part was Etrailer rep. knew exactly which part I needed on phone and sent me to website reference for further proof of correct part.
Nissan prewired the truck to receive the controller which wiring comes with a simple plug in connection.
All you do is order matching plug from Etrailer which comes with the four color coded leads that match the techonsia controller.
Attach the leads, plug it in, Mount the controller and you’re done!
Excellent service and product.

It’s been a year and as a follow up to previous review I would just add that the unit is working great. This is a testament to the Prodigy unit. When I hooked up a different trailer than my utility trailer which I had been using the controller indicator showed no connection, though it was physically connected. This told me there was a fault in the trailer wiring as it was still indicating good connection with utility trailer. After checking for poor ground on trailer with fault I then inspected the wires to brakes snd found one chewed right into by a squirrel. Reattached and controller indicated a good connection and I was good to go. This would have been a bigger problem with a controller that did not give connection and other feedback info. Also this controller is 5 years old on second vehicle.
Plugged right into the vehicle’s wiring harness and works well with my Tekonsha brake controller
