Install your electric brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in harness behind your 's dash.
Features:
This adapter plugs into the connector behind your vehicle's dashboard. To reach the connector, first locate the notch in the access panel in the center of the dash, near the passenger side. Using a trim panel puller, carefully pry the panel out and undo the locking tabs to remove the panel. You will find the mating connector behind this portion of your dashboard.
To install your electric brake controller you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein these wires are run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. Often, a brake controller wiring harness is included with your tow package. This harness plugs into a port beneath your dash and connects to the four wires of the brake controller. If, however, you have a brake controller with a plug in place of the four loose wires, you can use the Tekonsha adapter.
This adapter requires no hardwiring. It is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller for the simplest installation possible. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.

The cable is a perfect fit, and the installation electrically is a breeze. Where to mechanically mount our controller is another story. Taking out the accessory plate was also a slight challenge, the existing battery boost switch is a bit large. The switch wants to stay in the dash as the switch cutout on the dash is a bit too small, it holds the assembly in place loosely on the dash. It requires a bit of moving the trim plate, and the metal backing plate behind it back and forth, up and down to break the switch mounting tabs free from the dash after removing the two trim screws. Once the trim plate has been removed, the factory controller cable is in plain view and is the 3034-P snaps right on.
Since my controller travels between the Minnie and another vehicle, I didn't want to do a permanent installation, thus there is no clean final installation picture shown. There is room for a controller to the right of the existing switch (if I were to make a rectangular cutout in the trim plate, but I may end up just using a Velcro attachment of the controller bracket to the top of the dash. Under dash mount is not an option as you couldn't see the controller or easily reach its controls.
This is a replacement for the one I ordered incorrectly. Customer service was great, but I had to pay shipping costs. I recommend you get active help when ordering these items so you get it right the first time. Plug and play worked great when installed.

After a year, the brake controller still works fine. No problems so far.
My factory 2011 F350 integrated brake controller want recognizing any of our trailers, after cleaning and greasing connectors and chasing wires. I just installed the Tekonsha P3 with Ford factory harness. It took all of ten minutes as I already knew where I wanted it placed. I plugged the trailer and was instantly recognized. Super quick and easy. I mounted it on the drop down cup holder; easy to see and use the controller and it doesn’t interfere with the cup holders when in use.
I purchased this harness for a 2012 Forest River Sunseeker Class C RV.
It has a 2011 Ford E450 Van front. I did some research on etrailer about possible locations of the factory brake controller wiring, and found out exactly where it was.

The hardest part of the whole install was freeing the factory harness from the harness tie down behind the coin holder.
Installed a Prodigy P2 brake controller, hooked up the 3034-P harness, and boom!

Great brake controller! I installed this unit in my 2016 Ford F250 4x4 in just over 30 minutes. Of course, I spent a little time (about an hour or so) in advance on the etrailer website researching how to install this controller. After watching a few videos and reading a few detailed reviews I was ready to go. I did order a plastic trim removal tool set on [site] prior to this installation. ** NOTE to etrailer: Think about offering a set of trim removal tools for sale to your customers - very important!**. I figured the $25.00 spent on the trim removal tool set would ensure no damage to the interior of my new truck and I was right. This is my second or third brake controller purchased from etrailer. PlugNPlay Mini Winnie on an E250 chassis. Easier installation if you ignore all the usual instructions messing with the upper dash panel and just pull back the engine cover. Reach up there, pull the connector down, and you're good to go.
E trailer is an awesome organization. I couldn’t find this part, gave them a call and they sorted me in about 3 minutes. This product worked right away and has not wavered once.
Ordered wiring adapter for 2023 Entegra camper. Plug was correct, but Ford apparently moved some pins. Took a few hours to ID wires on camper and coordinate with wires on brake controller. Installation successful.
I called and talked to these people at each trailer customer service was second to none. They got me the right product and it's been working fantastically.
Good quality, easy plug and play.
Definitely recommend the product and the customer service was outstanding. Received earlier than estimated and I always new the status.

Fit perfect, the instructions from etrailer are spot on. Combined with the Tekonsha p3 brake controller. Really good set up. Can be difficult to find info on 2017 Ford E450 based motorhomes, but as I said, etrailer knew all about it.

1 yr later and still working fine
I ordered a adapter for a 2015 Ford Escape along with the receiver hitch. I received the hitch but never got the adapter. I forgot about it. The hutch fit great. The brake control and adapter worked good. Other than the other adapter, everything you guys have sent me are great.

I purchased a new Tekonsha 90195 trailer brake controller to replace the dysfunctional factory controller in my Ford 2009 F250 pickup truck. I mounted the new controller in the dashboard space created by removing the original Ford controller. This 3034-P adapter cable was exactly what I needed to connect the new controller to the factory wiring harness in the truck. It had the correct connectors on each end and worked just as it should. It was long enough to easily make the connection, but not so long that any of the cable had to be coiled up to prevent it hanging down below the dashboard.
This brake controller was installed in a motorhome on a E450 Ford chassis that came with the Ford brake controller harness installed from the factory. Although factory wired for a Ford brake controller the Ford brake controller would not work because the motorhome did not come with the digital instrument panel and steering wheel with the required controls.
The Tekonsha brake controller with the Ford adapter harness was very simple to install, plug and play. The Tekonsha brake controller also detected a brake fault that the Ford controller in my F150 did not show. The Tekonsha brake controller works perfectly stopping my 7000 lbs. enclosed car hauler trailer.
Excellent customer service on the phone, gave me the correct product and answered all questions. Plugged right in with no complicated wiring or extras.
The prodigy brake controller works great , but the best thing was the Demco hijacker auto slide 5th wheel hitch . No more getting out to pull the lever,it slides so quiet you don't know its even know its moving . Thanks guys for a great product.
Works great, Installed this unit on a 2013 F-250, Had problems finding the plug for the new unit. It is located behind the coin holder, under the heater controls on this year. After finding the plug it took 15 minutes to install
