Is Harness Needed to Install Prodigy Brake Controller on 2010 Chevy Silverado?
Question:
I once had a 2000 Chevy Silverado. Now I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado. I still want to use my Tekonsha Prodigy break controller. However, I don't see a quick connect for the 2010 truck. I would like to know where I can find insulation instructions. Do you have a copy I can get/purchase? I assume the Pigtail Wiring Harness for Tekonsha and Draw-Tite Brake Controllers - 34inch Long Item # 7894 will be the one to purchase for insulation?. Thank you for your time,

With a Prodigy brake controller, there is no need to use harness # 7894 because the controller has the wires already. To install the controller, you only need to find and access the wiring behind the dash under the steering column. I have attached a link to an install on a 2012 Silverado for you which details what you'll need to do.
