Today we're going to be taking a look at the Winch Replacement Handle by Dutton and Lainson. We're going to take a measurement from the center of the handle to the center of the mounting location. That's going to give us a measurement of nine and a half inches, so it's a nine and a half inch long replacement handle. It's designed for winch models DL-1400 and 1402 including A models and it's interchangeable with model 6307. It's going to feature an ergonomic handle grip. It's got the nice finger indentions in there so you can get a secure hold on it when you're operating your winch; and that grip does swivel all the way around. Taking a measurement of just the grip, that's going to measure four inches long.
This part number's going to include a new lock nut. It's made from a steel construction. You can see how it has the offset so that way you can clear other components or parts of the winch. The offset measuring here to here. That's simply going to give us an offset of about two inches.
It's easy to replace them: all you have to do is remove your old winch handle and the hardware. There should be a stud coming off the winch; that stud's going to go right through this hole right here and it's simply placed on your new lock-nut on the other side of that stud bolt. The size of that hole is going to measure 3/8ths of an inch wide by a half inch long, and this product is made in the USA. 9-1/2" Long winch replacement handle.PERFECT REPLACEMENT winch handle! I have a old, old 14' fishing boat and trailer - about 60 years old. We only use trailer to go between cabin and lake a few hundred yards these days, but the winch handle, which was held on with a cotter pin, got lost. I was using a crescent wrench as a handle which worked but worked poorly. I decided to go on line to see if by chance I could ever get a replacement handle for that old winch and YES this handle was the perfect fit!! I order it and within a few days it was in my mail box. I just returned to the cabin and it works just like the original handle. Thank you etrailer for fast delivery, best price and great service!

Exactly what I was looking for, extremely well built.
I really like the product. It fits my winch perfectly and with the plastic roller it makes winching the boat up much easier! The old winch handle did not have the plastic roller and so winching up the boat (19') produced a few painful blisters.
This trailer winch handle is exactly what I needed and its longer length will provide more leverage and aide greatly in the final steps of securing my boat. The handle was installed yesterday after quickly receiving my order.

Handle has a very solid feel to it, seems better than the one that I had to replace as it spun the hole when being over torqued.
