NEEDED A HEAVIER WINCH FOR MY SAILBOAT. IT WILL BE MUCH EASIER FOR MY WIFE TO RAISE THE MAST WITH THE WINCH / BRAKE WHILE I HOLD THE MAST AND CLEAR LINES. ALSO THE BOAT WILL BE MUCH EASIER TO PULL UP SNUG ON THE TRAILER. OVERSIZED COMPAIRED TO THE ORIGINAL BUT MUCH EASIER AND SAFER.
MY FRIEND HAS ONE AND SAYS IT IS THE WAY TO GO.

The winch arrived lightning quick. I think it was at my door in two days. The fit and finish are great. It was easy to bolt on to my trailer replacing the old winch. It was nice to have a nice clean strap instead of the gnarly old wire cable that made me nervous every time I put a strain on it. I especially like the fact that it has two speeds and a neutral which disengages the gears to make it easy and fast to reel out the strap, and that it can ratchet in either direction so you can wind in either over or under the drum without having to use tools to change the ratchet position. I'm looking forward to not blowing out my shoulder trying to haul the boat off the beach onto the trailer with my old 4:1 ratio winch, the new 5.1:1 high gear might just do it, but I am sure the 12.2:1 low gear will definitely do the job!

This winch was everything I was looking for! I had to alter it a little to fit my trailer but it worked out. My previous winch was very hard to get boat pulled up snug. I had a operation that can cause me to get a hernia easily—with this winch there is no strain when in low gear—I would recommend it to anyone who has an issue with straining

Helps load boat with my weak wrists. Wish for a additional gear in low range so you could always rotate handle in same direction for high or low range. I am very pleased with winch.

Impressed with the heavy duty feel. Mounted to replace my existing winch without a problem. Would have been nice if it came with mounting hardware but the included strap seems to be good quality. Two speed pulled my 3500lb boat further up on the bunk trailer with ease. Winch is quite loud, thinking it might quiet down with more use.

For my purposes this is a nice winch that does what I need. I had to modify the handle to make it shorter so I didn't hit my boat. It is rather large and the handle is placed towards the top of the unit so you do need quite a bit of clearance. Just a consideration, nothing against the unit. I do agree with another reviewer that the 2" strap on a 3" pulley wheel is weird. However, for my use it works fine. It actually helps a little for me because if the centerline is off, the strap room to wad up a little without causing any binding. It has plenty of pull power. I still haven't figured out what the large lever is for though. All said, for my use case, for the price and how it performs I am happy.

I haven't actually tried the winch yet. But so far I am extremely happy. This winch is about 3 or 4 times heavier than the one it replaced. I like the extra features on it also.

I can't review the product that I received today, but I can give 5 stars to the prompt delivery. The product has to be installed and tested, and its installation has not yet happened. I will use this product to replace the 2-speed winch on my 2004 boat trailer.

easy to mount everything works well and is of good quality. The crank is on the right side(driver's side) A lot I look at the crank was on the left. Can't say much about the USP delivery box looked like they played football with it kind of crushed and taped up. and 3 days late on delivery. lucky the winch is built strong

The parts are great a lot heavier duty then I was expecting. I am very happy with the products. the only suggestion is to make it more clear on the parts that come with no mounting bolts so you know to order the extra hardware.
