Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement Removable Handle Kit for the Dutton-Lainson DLB Series Brake Winches. Now, this removable handle kit will include everything you need to replace the standard bolt-on handle that comes on the DLB Series Brake Winches. And just to show you what we're talking about, I'll pop up an insert there. And you can see there's one of those DLB brake winches, and you can see how it comes with a bolt-on handle and the hardware to install that.

What this will allow you to do is put this handle, that's a removable, on there. This part here, this will include the handle. It'll come with the spring loaded pin. Comes with the square tube hub. Comes with the special nut.

And then, what you'll need to do is, you reuse the spring that, when you take off your factory handle, there'll be a spring on there. You will want to reuse that spring when you install this back on there. This kit, when it's installed, will let you easily remove the handle from your winch. Basically, to install this kit, what you'll do is remove the bolt-on handle from the winch. And then you'll install this square tube hub over the shaft on the winch.

And then take that spring we talked about that was included in the factory handle, slide that in there first, and then take this special nut that they include. (indistinct) that over the spring, and then tighten it down to hold this onto your winch. And once this is installed on the winch, that'll allow you to slide the handle, just like that, onto the square tube. Pull that pin. And then when you slide it, you can see that it'll lock it in place, and now you're ready to turn your winch.

And the nice thing about it, the spring loaded pin will hold the handle in place during use. And then when you're ready to remove the handle, you just pull that, and then slide that. Pull that pin and it'll slide right off the winch. Very fast and easy to remove the handle. Also, nice added feature, when this is installed on your winch, this will allow your winch to be operated with an electric drill when you utilize the Drill Drive Socket that we do sell separately on our website. And that part number looks like that. What that'll do, that's part number DL6456. And again, it's sold separately, listed on this product page as a related product. What that'll do is allow you to bolt, put that into your half inch electric drill, and then slide that square portion in there, and it'll allow you to turn your winch with your electric drill. Now, the last thing I wanna do is just give you the length of this handle. And the handles are always measured from the center of this to the center of the handle. So if we put a ruler on it, center to the center, is right at nine and three eights inches long handle.
