Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the CargoSmart Removable D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor. This d-ring adds an extra point of anchoring for your trailer, truck or van. It does feature the removable anchor point. All you have to do is pull out on this clip right here, and then the pin will remove from the unit, allowing you to remove the actual d-ring.It's a simple bolt on installation, so it comes with the mounting bracket. The mounting hardware is not included, but this will accept 3/8 inch diameter hardware. It's made from durable steel with protective finishing to keep it safe from rust and corrosion.A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick.
I did take a measurement of the usable space. So I measured inner edge to inner edge. I got a measurement of about an inch and a quarter. Also, I measured from the top of the bracket to the bottom of the d-ring, inside edge to inside edge, and got about one and 3/16th to an inch and a quarter as well. The mount holes on the bracket, these are separated apart from one another on center by two and a half inches.
The bracket itself measures about three and 11/16th by one and 3/16th.It features a safe working load limit of 1667 pounds, with a maximum load or brake strength of 5000 pounds. Just keep in mind that tie down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit, so the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the anchors being used.And that's gonna do it for today's look at the CargoSmart Removable D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor.

GuessbI will have to make a trip to the hardware store to replace what should have come with the package.

Working like a champ! Ive put significant tension on these d-rings while hauling and they havent failed me once. Awesome Product!!!
The tie down anchor was really much more heavy duty than I thought. It is also of a unique style and design which will lend itself to being used to help support a ceiling fixture I am building. It is both aesthetically appealing, and structurally durable.
Works as advertised. Nice to be able to easily remove the loop when not needed leaving a low profile bracket on the floor.
