1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.

Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires

Bias vs. radial tire graphic

Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.

Beveled Stud Holes

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The stud holes on this steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheel stays tight against your trailer hub. This also eliminates the need to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

We use etrailer for nearly every component of the custom trailers we fabricate. Great parts, great service and great prices.

Exactly what I needed. Fast shipping as usual for E trailer

by:

I ordered the 2 Tires Monday afternoon and they were shipped Monday. I received the tires on Thursday and realized that I had ordered the incorrect hole pattern. I email Etrailer.com and they sent me return labels. The return shipping cost was taken out of my credit issued. I liked the tires and wheels very much so I reordered the correct size and ordered 4 more for another larger trailer.

Tires are holding up very well. Took a 500 mile trip with no problems. Put a lot of weight on the trailer, but it pulled very well, great tires for the price.

Good Experience, sorta...

I was torn
on how to write this review. Simply, the wrong item was shipped, but the etrailer team quickly got me the right item, once I worked through the process...
etrailer has been a good resource for me to get trailer parts for a few years, but like many, they seem to be struggling. Inventory, staffing, shipping, customer service, it all seems to be strained.
This is not the first order issue I have had in the last 2 years, and the return process is overly complicated. Why if they have my order number and the item number I need to return, do they need a photo of the item? Why can I not do an exchange? Why as I get requests for a review of my experience am I am sorting through the process of a problem with an order. It seems the right hand does not talk tot he left hand, and a person has to navigate through several different people to get a problem resolved.

So my suggestion is make sure you don't need to go through the return and re-order process, and etrailer, make returns and or exchanges easier.

by:

Very happy with the tires and wheels. I got them much sooner than I thought I would, which was free delivery! Tires and wheels came ready to mount. Very please with my experience with etrailer!

Tires and wheels are doing great! Have had no trouble at all with them. Great buy for the price and quality.

by:

A year ago, I ordered a set of (4) wheels and tires since I shredded an old tire on the way home one day, and my wheels on my second-hand trailer were rusted and did not match. Delivery was prompt, exactly as expected, and I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase one year later. My trailer was once a "landscape" trailer and has faded, powdery blue paint which rubs off on you if you brush up against it. The new wheels and tires look fantastic and probably doubled the value of my trailer of twenty years and have certainly gotten my $$'s worth out of. I am now ordering new wiring and other trailer accessories from etrailer since I had such a great experience with them before, and I intend on keeping this ugly old trailer. etrailer has had my past business, they have my current business, and will have my future business as well.

by:

Tire and rim were shipped promptly and is an exact match for my tires and rims on my 2006 Sunnybrook camper. Reasonable price included shipping. My tire had shredded so I elected to get a tire and rim combo after having to use the spare to complete a trip. Customer communication was excellent and I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you!

After a year, my tire and rim are working perfectly and I still feel very good about this purchase!

by:

Good quality, arrived as advertised. No problems

by:

I put these tires on a two horse bumper pull trailer when we moved across the country last year. I had a lot riding on them literally and figuratively as we loaded up our horses in the middle of the summer to move and had these tires failed, we may have been stuck on the side of the road in 95 degree weather with live animals that would overheat quickly. Despite going through states with poor road maintenance and a couple thousand miles out on them on their main voyage, they functioned just I had hoped and still looked brand new after. All good since then as well, however we don’t use the trailer often or for long distances at the moment.

by:

The excellent rating is for the delivery, they arrived in two days by UPS ground (initial estimate was 5-7 days). Since these tires & wheels have not rolled yet, it is hard to say how well they will perform. They replaced some very old 7.00-15LT's on my boat trailer, they should upgrade the look at the very least, and the 20% increased (tire) load capacity is a definite plus as a safety factor. The trailer bearings and brake system have been replaced, and the tires/wheels will top off the package.

by:

I am very impressed with this website. A few weeks ago, I had a tire blow out on my 10K 6'x12' dump trailer when I had 3 tons of wood pellets on it on my way home. As soon as the old tire blew I pulled over and changed it out. I found the old tire and rim was destroyed. I searched locally for a new tire and rim for my trailer. I found that Les Schwabb's price for a rim and tire was $250 and the tire was very poor quality. I searched the web and found etrailer. I found the tire and rim I needed quickly and I also found it for about $100 dollars cheaper than Les Schwabb. I could not believe how expensive Les Schwabb was and how much they charged for a simple trailer tire and rim. I am very happy with the new trailer tire and rim I got from etrailer and I will continue to do business with etrailer from now on when I need things for my trailer. The trailer tire and rim from etrailer was much better quality than Less Schwabb. Definitely don't buy anything from Les Schwabb as they are a total rip off and greedy!

Fast shipping and great service

by:

Once again, extremely pleased with my order from etrailer. Ordering was easy. Product arrived quickly and was in excellent condition. Emails were sent to me from the company with status of shipping. My two trailer wheels and tires (AM3570) look great. This is a quality company in every way.

by:

Ordered tire & wheel for my dump trailer. ETRAILER is the best company I have ever dealt with. The order was processed, shipped, and received in 3 business days. They send you emails and tracking info. Also the tire had an up to date, date code and shipping was free. I know who I will be buying my trailer items from, for now on.

by:

Ordered a spare wheel & tire for my recently purchased 2013 Haulin Trailer, it is an exact copy of the wheels and tires already on the trailer. Perfect Spare, received in a matter of 4-days, and no shipping cost. have been a customer for years and the only place I go for my RV and now enclosed trailer needs.

by:

I recently bought a travel trailer. I asked about a spare and was quoted close to [$$$] for a spare tire, mount, and cover. I bought all of that for less than a third of the price from etrailer and mounted it in less than 15 minutes.
Great deal.

by:

I am very pleased with the tires and wheels I purchased, the price was very good and the shipping was very fast. The wheels are of excellent quality and it was nice to buy them with the tires already mounted. The tires also seem to be very good quality I will definitely be checking with etrailer for my trailer needs from now on.
Thanks for a great product.

by:

I saw the reviews on this wheel and tire and feel that it will do exactly what I need when the time comes I have a blowout on the highway and need to use this. As always with my orders from etrailer, they have shipped in a timely manner and they care about customers feedback to help manage there products they carry. I would recommend them to anyone with trailer needs

by:

I have been running these Loadstar K550's for years and they are good tires. I have used them on everything from utility trailers, RV's, boat trailers ect..... Great value and performance. This is my first time ordering from "etrailer" and the price was very competitive. Fast shipping and good packaging= I will be using etrailer in the future. Thanks

by:

Recieved my order pretty quick. Tires and wheels I orderd are perfect. Glad I went through trailer once again. Will be ordering two more soon. Thank you so much.

by:

Put these on a small utility trailer. Came in a strong cardboard box, aired up and ready to mount.
Tires look great, should last a good long time. Great deal, thank you!

by:

Wheels and tires look and fit great. An important upgrade to our 30 foot travel trailer before camping season really got underway.

by:

I appreciated the quick shipment and feel safer now with a spare tireon my boat ttrailer. As far as the tire/product itself, one can only trust it will work if needed.

by:

Tires and rims were excellent. Each tire individuality boxed.Service was great with communication all along the way.Fast shipping and handling. I recommend etrailer.

by:

As usual, order was received on time. This wheel / tire combo was purchased a as a spare for my boat trailer.

  • Where Should Axle Be Measured To Determine Weight Capacity
The diameter of the axle would be the measurement of the axle itself. I recommend using a caliper to measure the axle between the spring seats under the trailer. I have attached a photo of an axle for you. On the photo you can see a couple of the places noted where you can take a measurement.

  • How to Determine Gross Trailer Weight on a Tandem Axle Horse Trailer
I have seen trailer capacity information at the front of a trailer near the coupler, on the inboard side of the left side frame, but it really could be anywhere. If you cannot find it then I should be able to give a close estimate based on the inner and outer bearing numbers. You would have to pull off a hub to get to the bearings but with those numbers I should be able to tell you axle capacity at the very least. Another way to determine axle capacity is by the diameter of the axle: Typical...

  • Is it Necessary to Balance a Trailer Tire/Wheel Before Use
The tire/wheel combinations that we sell, such as Loadstar ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire with 15-inch White Wheel # AM3S870, are not fully dynamically balanced like an automobile tire/wheel. However, when mounted together the tire's low spot and the wheel's high spot are matched. This provides a degree of balancing but it is not the same as a true dynamic balance like what a tire shop does when they mount a new tire to one of your car's wheels. Trailer tires are less sensitive to balance...

  • Backspacing of the Taskmaster ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire with 15 White Wheel # AM3S870
The backspacing for the rim of Loadstar ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire with 15" White Wheel # AM3S870 is 3-1/2 inches. I determined this by taking the wheel width (6 inches) adding 1 inch for both wheel lips (7) and then dividing that by 2 to give the backspacing of 3-1/2 inches. This is what the formula would look like. (6+1)/2=3.5 I attached an FAQ on trailer wheels and tires for you to check out also.

  • Replacement Tire and Wheel for a 7.00-15 Tire on a 15" Rim with a 6 on 5-1/2" Bolt Pattern
We do have options for replacing your tire and wheel. We don't sell used tires and wheels, but the modern equivalent of the 7.00-15 tires are here. They are in fact 225/75D15. A good combination wheel and tire is the Loadstar Bias White Wheel, part # AM3S870. This wheel has the same 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern and is a 15" rim. The load range is D, and the ply rating is 8 (so slightly higher than your original tire). I've linked to a video review of this tire for you to look at.

  • Can an ST225/75-15 Trailer Tire be Used in Place of a 7.00-15LT Tire
The 7.00-15 tires you have are not exactly the same size as an ST225/75D15 tire. The 225/75 is going to be about 1/4 inch wider and a little over an inch shorter. So # AM3S870 would work as a temporary spare but not in the long term. You would want to get a replacement size 7.00-15LT as soon as you could. It does have the blue and red pin stripes on the wheel.

  • How To Change To Smaller Wheel and Tires on Utility Trailer With 6-Lug 15 Inch Wheels
If the hub on your trailer has a 6-lug bolt pattern, the smallest tire size that will fit is the 15 inch tire size. There are no wheels smaller than 15 inch with a 6-lug bolt pattern. You will need to change out the hubs on the axle to a bolt pattern like the 5 on 4-1/2 inch size to be able to use a smaller wheel and tire. • Recommended Air Pressure on Trailer Tires That Are Not Loaded to The Maximum Load Capacity
We always recommend to run the maximum air pressure stated on the sidewall of the tire. That is the safest thing to do because then you have the maximum weight capacity covered for any type of load you will be hauling. On the Kenda Tire and Wheel Assembly, part # AM3S870, you have referenced, the maximum load capacity for the ST225/75D15 tire is 2,540 lbs at 65 psi. • Do Trailer Tires/Wheels Need to Be Balanced?
Our trailer tire and wheel combinations, such as the Loadstar # AM3S870 you referenced, do not come balanced like automotive tires do. When the tire is mounted to the wheel, the high (heavy) spot on the wheel is matched to the low (light) spot on the tire. This leaves the wheel and tire adequately balanced for trailers. Special Trailer tires, however, like the Loadstar ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ White Wheel # AM3S870 that you were looking at will have much higher maximum psi listings.
