This is a great heavy duty single pole connector. I use it for power transfer to my dump trailer. It handles the current requirement just fine. Solid construction had held up well to mud, dirt, and water. Definitely recommend this product!

Ive installed one of the single pole receptacle on all three of or super duty trucks. Its so nice to be able to never worry about the dump trailer battery being dead. We also made jumper cables that plug into it so we can jump chippers and other machinery easily. This product has held up extremely well also. Still looks brand new after 1 year of use. There is a little plastic piece that is on the end of the pole inside the receptacle that fell off of all three receptacles. However, It doesnt seem to affect the function at all.

Nice product

I used the plug and receptacle to connect my truck batteries to supply 12 volts to my camper. It is hooked up using one of the Ford up fitter switches to activate a starter solenoid that that supplies 12 volts through a 00 cable to the rear bumper receptacle. By using an up fitter switch it only works when the key is on but supplies the full 14 volts to the camper with little voltage drop. I can charge the camper batteries from the truck without the noise of running the camper generator. The camper has a 2000 watt inverter that I use when under way so don’t have to turn on the gas to run the frig in transit. The product works great with only one comment. The female receptacle( truck end) has a nice rubber boot for the feed cable but no such provision on the plug end so must be thoroughly tapped.

I needed a large electrical plug for a cake feeder on my ranch pickup. This worked perfectly.

by:

Items were just what my customer needed, heavy duty metal connectors, very solid. Great service from etrailer!

by:

Quality part. My only complaint is actually a suggestion; a template would have been handy. I spent 20 minutes creating a template to use for cutting out a hole for mounting directly in the body.

by:

This connector is just what I needed. Arrived ontime.
Beware this connector requires a solder joint. I knew this

by:

Etrailer is there in a pinch, excellent product and solved our problem with a Benlee trailer product. Fast shipping and great follow up from Customer Service.

by:

Socket was exactly as described and heavy-duty. It was excellent quality. It was packaged well and shipped well.

by:

always great products customer service and tech support

by:

Everything we purchased, work out very well for us. Ty!

by:

Great product, very well built, just what I needed

by:

I only wish the description would have included the part and number for the seal and the spring
that fit on the back of the plug. I would have order the seal too.

by:

Good quality! Bigger than I thought, but very well made.

by:

very good quality and works great

  • Male and Female Single Pin and 2-Way Pins for Trailer Wiring
I think you may have your part numbers swapped around but the part numbers you mentioned all can work together. The 2-ways part # 337TC1002 and # 337TC2002 are perfectly compatible with each and the single pins # PK11851 and # PK11852.

  • Can the Ultra-Fab 4K Electric A-Frame Jack Be Powered From the Vehicle
Yes, the Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack part # UF38-944016 can be powered from the tow vehicle's battery. I suggest simply attaching a trailer connector to the end of the power wire and extending if needed, similar to the etrailer Electric Jack with Footplate and 7-Way Plug part # EJ-3527-BBX. That said, the Ultra-Fab pulls more power than the etrailer so you really can't use the 7-way socket due to the wire gauge difference. I recommend installing part # PK11852 on the jack and part...

  • How To Run Large Gauge Wire Between Truck and Trailer
The only option we can offer to run a large gauge wire between the trailer and tow vehicle is with the Pollak Single-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket part # PK11851 and the Pollak Single-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Connector part # PK11852. The standard 7-way terminals will only accept wires up to 10 gauge on all but the ground circuit.

  • Quick Disconnect Socket for Charging a Battery
As long as you do not exceed the 300 amp rating of the Pollak Single-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket part # PK11851 then this would work for you. For the male end of the above socket you would want to use the Pollak Single-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Connector part # PK11852. The connectors can accept a wire size up to 00 gauge therefore, the 2 gauge wire will work well for you. I have attached a review video of each connector as well.

  • Higher Amperage 12 Volt Power Connector to Use at Rear of 2020 GMC Sierra 1500
For a higher amperage connector setup you'd want the single pole part # PK11851 with the matching male side part # PK11852. This has a 300 amp rating so you'd be perfectly fine to run basically anything you'd want from it. The connector you mentioned is limited to only 10 amps. I'd go with 8 gauge or thicker for maximum amperage as well.

  • How Charge Trailer Battery With Truck While Using Winch
The 12v power pin on the 7-way connector of your 2012 Chevrolet Silverado will provide a small maintenance charge to your trailers battery, but will not be able to support it using a winch. The only option to keep it charged when using something that draws a lot of power like a winch would be installing a heavy duty single pole connector # PK11851 on the truck and the trailer side # PK11852 on the trailer. These connectors will work with 00 gauge wire and you will need to run that wire...

The # PK11851 Single Pole Round Pin Trailer Connector is designed to deliver power to a trailer. It's not grounded, because the battery on the tow vehicle is already grounded and trailer mounted equipment is usually grounded as well. The ground connection would typically be carried through an additional connector; depending on the piece of equipment you are supplying power to you might need to increase the ground wire gauge. If you need the connector to power a winch, you would be better...

Yes, the 7-Pole Rubber Socket Boot, # PK11761, works with 3 of the Pollak heavy duty wiring sockets that we carry. You can use it with part # PK11720 that you mentioned and it can also be used with part # PK12801 and # PK11851. The hole in the back of the boot is just under 7/16 inch and measures .425 with a dial caliper. I produced a short video showing how the boot fits on each item for you.

  • Recommendation For Getting Power To A Trickle Charger On A Trailer With A 4 Flat Plug
The best way to accomplish what you want this to do will actually be to upgrade the 4 Flat plug on the trailer to a 7 Way. If you use something like the Hopkins # H20046, you will not need to connect all the wires. You will just need to match your blinker/brake signal, running light, and ground wires to the ones on the plug and them run the black wire to the trickle charger. A junction box like the # 38656 will also make this task a lot easier. If you do prefer to keep the 4 Flat on the...

  • Parts Needed to Charge a Trailer Battery for a Winch
First, the wiring on a trailer connector can provide a maintenance charge to a 12 volt battery on a trailer but it will not be able to fully charge it. The 12 volt circuit on a 7-Way is already circuit protected so a separate fuse or breaker should not be needed. There is a way you can provide a charge to the battery from the truck. You would need to equip the truck and trailer with separate single pole connectors independent of the 7-Way. For the trailer side, you would need Pollak Single-Pole,...

  • Using a 7-blade RV Connection To Power a Trailer Mounted Winch
I would not try wiring a winch through a standard 7-way connector. Winches draw much more amperage than the wiring that can be installed in a 7-way trailer connector can handle. The best solution would be to use a winch wiring kit like the Winch Trailer Wiring Kit, item # BDW20043. This kit includes everything needed to install a connector at the rear of the vehicle and at the front of the trailer, for powering a winch. If you already have heavy enough gauge wire you can order the Electrical...

  • Socket and Connector Recommendation for Charging Battery Bank of Trailer
The part # PK11852 and # PK11851 can be used for charging a trailer's battery. You would not be completing a circuit on the trailer since it's running to a battery so all you'd need to do is run the charge wire to the battery and you'd be able to charge it.

  • Using the 12 Volt 7-Way Circuit for Off Road Lights on a Trailer
This sounds like a power draw issue. The 12 volt circuit on your 7-way is only designed to provide a certain amount of amps which will vary depending on the vehicle but it is usually around 20-40. If the power draw of your off road lights exceeds this then that is what would cause them to cut out. It may be best for you to just run the off road lights directly to the battery with a quick disconnect in between the trailer and tow vehicle. For quick disconnects I recommend part # PK11852...

If you also need a vehicle end connector, I recommend using the Pollak Single-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket - Vehicle End # PK11851 I've linked a quick installation video that we did of this plug that doesn't use a fuse that I recommend having a look at.
