Items were simply “thrown in the box” WITH the hitch which was not secured properly. Heavy hitch then bounced around on electrical connectors, destroying them. Components should have been fastened to the hitch as the hardware kit was with strong tape instead of just thrown into the box by somebody! Refund issued.

Product arrived on time and as described. I used this for setting up our 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara for a flat tow. Mounting hole spacing @ 2" o/c didn't match our Blue Ox 1126 draw bar so I fabricated my own intermediate bracket, polished it to aircraft tooling standards, then lacquered it before final assembly. I think the finished product came out nice.

Just over one year and its still working out great! Ive fabricated several intermediate brackets much like my own for neighbors.

Wiring harness and flat tow bracket to be able to tow our new Wrangler behind our motorhome. Product arrived on time and everyone was most pleasent to deal with. had the bracket installed by the dealre we bought the Wrangler from as part of that deal and then did the wiring ourselves. Pretty weasy thanks to the excellent video provided by etrailer and it took us rookies about 3 hours to complete. we are very happy with the service and product. Thanks to all. Regards,

Everything was great. I'm going to use this for a remote winch control. I recommend this site to everyone. Thanks

What sort of controller are you attaching it to? I need to find a new controller and trying to find one that I can attach this to.

Do you guys carry a great inventory of trailer accessories and parts do a great job getting them shipped out to us Thanks for all the good work happy memorial day to you

by:

Just what I ordered and expected. My former, local source discontinued carrying the outlet which I needed for my vehicles to connect to the lighting on my trailers. Was good to find a new, reasonably priced source so I did not have to change the wiring on all my older vehicles and trailers.

by:

Installed this product since I was converting a car from dolly towing to flat towing and needed this connector to interface with existing harness installed on tow bars. Impressive quality!

by:

I was disappointed when I opened the package. The connections are to be used together. These connections can never be used as 1 unit on a trailer and Vehicle. The pin , and Holes on the female, and male plugs are different.

by:

Product was good quality. Some of these receptacles from other suppliers are made of plastic. You don't find out until you get it home and open the package. I wasn't sure what I was going to get.....but was happy that it is metal and not plastic. I should have known that Etrailer would sell a quality product and not try to pass off junk like some of the others.
My advise: always buy trailer parts from Etrailer. Don't take chances with someone else.

by:

I am ‘five star satisfied’ with the products and service I have received from etrailer.
Parts are high quality, unlike merchandise I I’ve purchased elsewhere.
The customer service is high quality, again unlike others I’ve dealt with. Specifically, I have dealt with Danielle twice and she was fantastic. Pleasant, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. etrailer is lucky to have her on their team.

by:

Works very well. Exterior is rusting th ough.

by:

Well made and sturdy construction. It would have helped if the mounting hole spacing was listed in the specs so I could have pre-drilled the panel on my trailer.

by:

Order for wiring, round plug, and plug mounting bracket delivered very quickly and is exactly what I needed.

Have bought from etrailer.com in the past and always been well satisfied with their products and service.

by:

Made of metal. Definitely hold up better than the plastic copies.

by:

Using this 4 way connector as a 2 way to add 12 volt power to my tow vehicle from my RV.

by:

Connector worked great on my boat trail er.

by:

This connector worked perfectly on my trailer. Very happy I found e-trailer and that they carried this hard to find product.

by:

Works just as it should! Durable!

This item continues to work just as it should with no need for adjustment! Very pleased!

by:

Very satisfied. Would not hesitate
to order from you folks again. Thanx...

by:

Would have been nice to get this product in Black Chrome to match my bumper

by:

As I said on all the other parts, I like the selection, pricing but mostly the help I get online and face-to-face.

by:

Same as the review for the female end. Well made and just what I needed. Outstanding product.

by:

Wrong size. Hard to know what size when ordering online.

by:

Meghan L was a great help and I got my project product real quick and that's working great thanks

by:

This item worked properly and fit nicely

  • How to Wire 4-Way Round Pin Trailer Wiring Connector PK11409
There is not an industry standard layout for wiring the 4-Way round pin connector, but there is a layout that is most accepted. If you you are looking at the front side of the 4-Way round trailer side plug, the top left prong would be used for right hand turn signal and brake function, the top right pin would be the left side turn signal and brake light function, while the bottom left would be used for the tail light function. • What are the Functions of the Pins on Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Socket PK11410
The Bulb and Socket kits bypass the toad vehicle wiring completely so the 4-Way, # PK11410, just has to be wired to match what is plugged into the front of it. Usually the configuration is as follows: If looking at the back of # PK11410 where the wires attach top left is right turn signal/brake lights, bottom left is running lights, bottom right is ground, and top right is left turn signal/brake lights.

I'm going to assume that you have a Blue Ox coiled electrical cord, like part # BX88254, which has a 7-way for your motorhome. To replace the connector on the front of the towed vehicle you can use part # PK11410, and for the connectors on the cord, # PK11409 for 4-way and # PK12706 for 7-way. I have included a picture for you which shows each style of connector and part number.

  • Distance Between Mounting Holes on the Pollak 4-Way Round Connector
I grabbed a Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket, # PK11404, from our warehouse to measure and found the distance between the mounting holes on center is 1-3/4 inches. If you check out the picture I attached you will see that you would have to come up with a shackle type adapter to allow this connector to be used on your base plate.

  • Availability of 6-Way Round to 4-Way Round
There isn't a 6-Way round to 4-Way round adapter that we carry but we have the parts to make one. First you'll need the correct 6-way with part # PK11604. Then you would need a 4-Way round vehicle end connector, # PK11410. Then all you would need is about 1 foot of bonded 4-wire, # 16-4B-1. • Installing 4-way Round Connector on Tow Vehicle
If the 4-way on your RV is a round socket, you will need to wire the Roadmaster 4-Wire Straight Cord Kit # RM-98164 to match the wiring on your RV function for function. Since RVs do not commonly come with 4-way round connectors, it is hard to say how the 4-way is wired. You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test for the wire's functions. If the 4-way on the RV is not round, I recommend using the Hopkins Endurance Flex-Coil Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47043. This wiring extension...

It sounds like the 4-Way round connector on your camper is not wired correctly to match the 4-Way round on your 7-Way to 4-Way round adapter.
