by:

Product was as expected.

by:

by:

Packing, shipping&Item PERFECT!!! etrailer your the bomb !!!

I searched locally for a 7-pin trailer plug without finding any round-pin styles only flat blade. I searched online and found this plug.
This plug is very well made, easy to connect wires to and fits the socket on my Kubota tractor.
Also, it was in stock and shipped much faster than I expected, which I greatly appreciated.

I am very pleased with the product. It is working great on my Kubota tractor.

by:

the connector is "as advertised" (which is refreshing) it needs some sort of protective cover of the wires as they enter the plug, but maybe it is available and i didn't see to order it. I would buy it again.

by:

If you have any agricultural equipment, this is the easiest way to adapt the normal automotive style connectors to your vehicles and equipment. Great product, and as usual, ETrailer.com has the best price and least expensive way of shipping it to you.

Still great,

by:

The way the connector comes apart & goes back together is very sensible. The terminal connections can accommodate large wires - up to 12 gauge on all except for 1 that can go up to 10 gauge as far as I can remember. They could possibly handle larger but I didn't check since I didn't need the wires that large. They're labeled for standard 7-way trailer wire colors, which is useful for most people but I couldn't go by it. Mine was a custom application. If a spring strain relief came with it that would be awesome but I wouldn't expect it for the price I paid. Hope that info helps.

by:

The plugs did what they were supposed to do, and the customer service was excellent.

by:

I have a 1993 ford e150 with a factory I installed trailer connector round pin. I couldn't find a 7 to 4 match anywhere. Then I saw this pk11700 adapter and it worked great. Plus I have extra connectors now to add other lights. Great product thx

by:

I got exactly what I expected. Great customer service & follow through.

This is a quality connector that was used to support electrical connections between my RV and toad. Its held up beautifully & I continue to be very pleased with it.

by:

The cable end plug arrived on the exact estimated date I was given on the day of ordering. Wiring it is very simple. There is a screw for each terminal opening. Use a small phillips screwdriver to thread the screw out, insert the wire, and then tighten the screw.
A retention clamp is an integral part of the plug. Again it is a simple matter of turning a screw to open it and tighten it back down again. The plug is well made and should last a long time. It is exactly the replacement part I was looking for.
I will come back to etrailer.com when I need related items. I highly recommend.

by:

Just reviewed the truck receiver half of this product - same deal. Nice heavy parts - little plastic. Nice big round brass contact pins; due to the fact that these parts are cast, there is little chance of water/dirt/condensation working into the wire contacts. Locks in tight with the receiver. All in all, a good purchase.

by:

Haven't wired up the connector yet. Would have been nice if the standard wiring diagram used through out the USA would have been included. Then the trailer would be wired correctly to any vehicle that was using it. Mine didn't have the trailer brake or back up lite shown.

by:

It came exactly as described, and in a timely manner.

I bought it to use on my tractor, but decided to wire accessories different. I may use the plug at a later date.

i did not realize there are TWO different sizes of 7 pin round connectors ?? apparently i have the smaller one and the one i got was way to BIG .....

by:

It is very refreshing in this age of Internet shopping to find a site that provides good product information, competitive pricing and great customer before and after the purchase. Product was exactly what the product info on the site stated. Appreciate the good service and will definitely use etrailer.com for future needs.

Thanks.

For me, and probably you, etrailer.com is a great place to shop/buy quality products. They give great follow up after ordering and fast shipping @ a fair price. I believe their service & pricing is unbeatable. I do shop for bargains & etrailer is @ the top of my list.

by:

I have used this connector on an equipment trailer for the last year with no issues. It has worked flawlessly. It was a good decision to go with this item.

by:

Worked perfectly to replace an electrical plug one of our drivers ripped off by accident. Was able to save the whole harness for $10 with this!

by:

Plug appears to be of very good quality and is as represented. We are using this plug to make an adapter harness to plug our RV into a semi tractor.

by:

Product arrived timely and in excellent condition. It came with SAE J560 instructions that were helpful. Wiring the connector was easy.

by:

Solid product. Can't wait to get it installed. Going to use it as a auxiliary power device for my tractor hardtop. Lights and wiper hookups.

  • Trailer Brakes Activating With Brake Pedal Is Pressed With No Brake Controller Installed
If you're getting voltage to the trailer brakes with no controller installed, and when it WAS connected it wasn't reading the brakes, it sounds like your trailer connector on the vehicle is either damaged or has had corrosion spread to the terminals inside where the wires attach. Once the terminals corrode, the corrosion builds up can can actually allow adjacent circuits to bridge which would explain why you get brakes without a controller installed. It's possible that the brake lamp circuit...

  • Wiring Adapter 7-Pole Round to 7-Way Blade with 4 Feet of Cable Between Connectors
The Pollak Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47425 that you referenced offers 7-1/2 inches between the 2 connectors, and is 14-1/2 inches long overall. This is the longest pre-wired 7-Pole round to 7-Way blade adapter that we offer. You can use individual connectors to wire together an adapter that will have as much room between the connectors as you need. I recommend using the Bargman 7-Way Super Sealed Connector with 4 Foot Cable # 50-87-004. This 7-Way blade vehicle-end connector is pre-wired...

If you're not getting signal at the pin, the controller could be bad, or there could be an interruption in the...

We do not carry an adapter to tow a European trailer with a US spec vehicle and trailer connector. You would have to change the trailer connector or the vehicle connector. Changing the vehicle connector will likely be easier. Your 2009 Mercedes GL320 likely has as 7-Way blade style trailer connector. So for the trailer side use # H20042. What I recommend is you change your trailer connector to a 7-Way blade connector part # A7WCB. You will also need a wiring harness like # PK11998 to install the 7/4-Way connector. It sounds like you want a permanent change from the 4-way connector to a 7-way connector on your trailer. We carry trailer-end 7-way connectors and the one I recommend is the Pollak Metal 7-Pole Connector, part # PK12702. This is a blade-style connector. If you have a round-pin connector on your vehicle I recommend part # PK11700. This would require cutting the 4-way connector off your trailer. Try improving the connection of the main ground wire of the trailer wiring harness. Make sure it is attached to a clean metal surface. But you can also check the current grounds for the lights to make sure they are making a solid connection to a clean metal surface.
