Designed for salt water applications. 2" Wide x 43" long G2 tie-downs make securing your boat's stern to your trailer hassle-free. Quick-release, self-retracting design and permanent bolt-on installation. 1,500 lbs Max load.
Features:
Specs:
BoatBuckle's second-generation transom tie-down straps bolt to the rear crossmember of your trailer and simplify the securing and unloading of your boat. These corrosion-resistant, stainless steel tie-downs are designed to keep constant tension on the strap and require minimal ratcheting to secure your load. Instead of always having to find and store tie-down straps that hook to the transom anchors on your boat, you will find that BoatBuckle's straps are always right where you need them. Just pull up on the hook and strap, attach the hook to the transom anchor, and then operate the ratchet several times. No more dealing with extra webbing or looking for the tie-down strap. And when unloading, simply push the release button on the ratchet, free the hook from the transom anchor, and let the strap retract back down into the ratchet.
Installation
These straps come with the mounting hardware that you'll need to install them. It is recommended that you use anti-seize (LT37616 - sold separately) to ensure that the nuts are properly tightened down over the bolts. You can mount the ratchets with the included bolts directly to the trailer frame or crossmember. If you need to angle the ratchet strap or move it a little farther off the frame, a universal mounting kit (IMF14254 - sold separately) is available.
Note: Transom tie-downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of gunwale tie-downs. All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Highly recommend etrailer for your boating needs. Love there products and service.
Seems like a very nice product.
I just received them yesterday and installed today so I have zero hours on them but they seem like a quality product.
Super simple to install. Very easy to use as well.
I think I'm going to enjoy these straps for years to come.
Here are a few pics after installed.
Just finishing up total restoration of 1969 Cheetah and these transom tie-downs will make the launch and retrieval process much simpler and easier.
Straps were exactly as described. All stainless construction is beautiful and durable. Recoil and cinch mechanism work effortlessly.
Service was flawless.
Thanks for being a part of the Cheetah restoration.
I've been using them for a year now and they're the easiest thing ever
Fantastic tie downs!I use them at least 3 times a week during the summer! I'm retired and fish often.
I've had several tie downs over the years but these are the best by far. Never had a problem with the releases or the ratchets and they attach easily.
Working well one year later (fresh water use). Decent quality.
I knew the product was great but was also really happy with the ease of ordering. I bought these for a freshwater drift boat. Definitely a overkill for my skiff but super easy and worth it
I received the Boat Buckles....the cheapest I could find that were made
of stainless steel.....I used them on my Jet-ski trailer that I had just installed the 5 ft galvanized bunk rollers on the carpeted bunks they were easy to install a little more difficult to adjust the rollers between the jet-ski hull chines but it worked out just perfect.
Stacy is the best customer service rep ever!

I can't believe that etrailer has done nothing in three years to address the problem of the mounting nuts and bolts being incorrect, and therefor useless. The bolt and nut have two different threads. I read where people had complained about this problem back as far as 2013 and yet etrailer has done nothing to fix the problem. I just received my boatbuckles and when I went to mount them I couldn't with the supplied hardware. I ended up going to a hardware store and spend around ten bucks to get the correct nuts and bolts to use to mount the buckles. I just can't understand why they're aware of the problem and continue to ship them with the incorrect fitting nuts and bolts. After about fifteen years of buying from etrailer, this is my last order. It's incomprehensible that they'd do this knowing the end user can't mount the parts without having to discard the parts they paid for in the package and have to go out and spend more money getting what you need to use the buckles. Unbelieveable!

Update to my review: Kudos to etrailer for getting this problem corrected at the source. Ive been informed that etrailer has taken this problem back to the supplier, IMMI, and they are in the process of sorting and inspecting all product in house for this defect. IMMI will get it corrected and implement a permanent corrective action to prevent another recurrence in the future, and etrailer will begin to monitor customer feedback with these types of concerns. To their credit, IMMI has sent me some replacement nuts and bolts that came threaded together to show they were correct to replace the defective ones that came with the BoatBuckles I purchased. I guess everyone can make a mistake, its a good company that corrects it and makes it right with the customer. Two thumbs up for etrailer and IMMI. Ill continue to do business with them in the future.
I bought the SS ratchet tIe downs for my boat. Over the years I have used many different tie down and have found they rust and become unusable over a season or two and are cheaply made. The only advice I can give is stop buying the cheap tie downs and spring for the quality ones. The tie downs are of exellent quality and easy to install. They also retract so they are not ever lost.
Thanks

excellent quality and easy install stainless steel is the way to go.
These are simply amazing. So much easier and quicker than straps. And easier on cold freezing wet hands. I welded them to the trailer as some report they’ve been stolen while they’re out on the water.
Fast delivery, quality product, easy tr ansaction.
AS DESCRIBED. GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE. MAY NOT BE ABLE TO USE SUPPLIED BOLTS, BUT NO BIG DEAL. DUE TO MOUNTING POSITION ON THE TRAILER YOU PROBABLY HAVE TO USE LONGER BOLTS ANYWAY.
STILL A GREAT PRODUCT.

Love them. They work great. Much more convenient than the manual ones. Alittle pricey but good.
The straps work great but the hardware that came with it did not work. The nut appears oblonged. I couldn't advance or back the nut off on the one bolt and had to cut it off.
I only gave this product 3 out of 5 stars because of the hardware associated with the boat buckles. I bought these to replace boat buckles on my boat trailer that were old and tired. I have always had great luck with these on my boat trailers and wouldn't replace them with anything else. The installation is normally extremely simple but not with this set. This set is the stainless version and it comes with stainless fine thread bolts and top lock nuts. I have had experience with fine thread stainless bolts before and knew their tendency for galling. I did not know how these top lock nuts would work with fine thread stainless and galling but I got out the antiseize anyway. I coated one bolt with antiseize and started installation very, very slowly. Heat started to build immediately every time you would turn the nut a few revolutions. I began the process of turning the nut a few times and then walking away for a while. Then I would come back and do it again. I made it half way and the bolt galled and completely locked down. Once this happens, it will not turn either direction. I knew this but tried anyway and ultimately had to cut the bolt off the trailer with a hacksaw. What a major pain! The instructions do not tell you anything about this problem either. I have experience with this issue and tried my best to prevent it and completely failed. The boat buckles are great. Do yourself a favor and throw the hardware in the trash. Get some coarse thread bolts and nylocks to replace the junk that comes with this product. You will thank me.

The boat buckles are fine. Hopefully the manufacturer will get that hardware issue resolved. I am sure it rubs some people the wrong way. For me, I just changed the hardware and moved on.
Great pricing and fast shipping! Excellent communication.
The BoatBuckle retractable transom tie downs have been on my trailer for a year and continue to work perfectly. They were easy to install and even easier to use. No more fiddling around with the cam buckle straps to get the tension correct, great product.
Always a pleasure dealing with etrailer, the merchandise arrives in a few days and is exactly as ordered.

After a year the Boat Buckles work perfectly, great product.
I have had the Stainless Steel (SS) Boat Buckles for a year. They installed easily and perform flawlessly. I find them much more convenient and just as strong as any tie-down I've used with my 1500 lb. boat. Reviews on other websites indicated that the SS bolts used to install them suffered from galling. So I cut them shorter to eliminate excess threading, chamfered the cut end, polished them, used lithium grease as lube and STILL suffered galling on one of them during installation. I cut it off, bought a new matching bolt, repeated the steps and it went on fine. My boat is used in both salt and fresh water; the Boat Buckles have not suffered corrosion and work perfectly. I highly recommend them

The stainless steel Boat Buckles I purchased from you last year work great. They are a LOT more convenient than traditional tie-down straps. The old straps left marks on the fiberglass transom because they had a metal buckle that rested against the transom. The Boat Buckles eliminate that problem and are always on the trailer. They tighten and release easily but hold securely. I purchased new stainless steel bolts for installation because the original boltsnuts galled before I could tighten them securely… even though I used lubricant on them before assembly. I had to cut them out with an angle grinder. The new SS bolts
The ratchet straps themselves work great! Seem to be good quality, and very easy to secure the boat to the trailer. Unfortunately, the mounting bolts that come with it seized up and would not tighten. We had to use our own bolts. This seems to be a problem that is already known. Hopefully they get this fixed. How hard is it to send hardware that actually works?

The ratchet straps work great! They are a lot easier to use than regular ratchet straps.
Hardware issue still.... although supposedly in the process of being fixed in Dec 2016. You are supposed to torq to 45 pounds. I lubed up the bolt. When my socket wrench would not turn the nut past the end of the bolt, I switched to an impact wrench. My impact wrench set at 100+ pounds would not turn the nut. I cut it off and went to the store for proper hardware. Since SS can be hard to find, I had to settle for grade 8.
Otherwise, the buckles are great... so far.

The buckles are still great. Such an improvement over any other boat tie-down Ive used in the past 40 years.
These seem to be pretty good so far, the Stainless steel version is the only way to go if they are exposed to outside weather, the bolts they send with it are good SS bolts, but bare in mind they are for single wall channel frame trailers and only 2" long, if you have a tube frame like mine you will need longer 3" ones from the hardware store, other than that there strong and easy to use once you get used to the ratchet and release process.

Still like the day they were put on after 1 year, I, originally gave the product 4 stars, because of the weird double handle ratchet system was confusing, but I, would give the product 5 stars for the reliability and quality.
I replaced my original buckle tie down straps with these and, oh boy, are they great! They are so easy to attach. Out of habit from dealing with my old ones I always subconsciously prepare for a hassle each time I bend over to hook em up. I am always amazed how smooth these are. Just pull, hook, and flip the lever 1 time! I feel like it SHOULD be more difficult!
Some of the best money I have ever spent!

One of my best purchases! Replaced old ones that didn’t function smoothly. And if you are still using the old style of tie downs, STOP IT! This new technology makes your life so simple.
Snugged up with the lever for perfect alignment, and tightened them up with a wrench. Boat and trailer is as snug as bug in a rug!
Good quality build, strong. Very easy to operate. Glad I purchased.

One year later and I can honestly say these work as advertised. I would certainly install another set tomorrow if I got a new trailer. Great item.
