Been using these hand winches quite a bit. I think there are four worn out ones in the scrap pile. The weak point is the handle to axle joint. I've been tempted to find a welder and just weld the handle to the shaft. Note, I put more than 45 pounds of force on the handle. Keeping the winch lubed as directed greatly increases the life span.

My order arrived sooner than I expected. Ordered on Monday and arrived on Wednesday and the quality of the product, Fulton boat winch, was as good as I had wanted even though I did not know what to expect. The customer service rep., Noah, was very helpful and was able to determine what I wanted.
I put this on a 2009 Stratos trailer, my brother recommended the Fulton 2 speed. I am a 58 yo woman and load /unload the boat by myself. This winch makes gettting the boat up the last couple of feet much easier. I loaded the strap, mounted the winch and have used it a couple of times. Almost returned it because the handle was about an inch too long. I ordered a shorter handle and it is perfect. Service at etrailer has been exceptional, delivery was on time and the price reasonable compared to other sellers.

I ordered the Fulton t2605 2 speed winch and have been able to use once since arriving and it worked even better than I thought. Great product! Arrived quickly, it was a perfect replacement to the prior Fulton winch on my boat trailer. I have used to for a full year now and am quite pleased.
Slightly overpowered for my everyday needs (lifting 400# mini-keel boats vertically out of the water) but the second gear has come in handy a few times. There has been no slippage of the cogwheels and the mechanism shows no evidence of wear.
The winch appears to be as advertised. It is a sturdy construction and all features work as needed. I am rebuilding a boat trailer and almost completed. Looking forward to using it. Also Noah E did a great job in helping me with the selection. Many thanks!
