Today we're going to be taking a look at part number DL24237. This is the Dutton-Lainson Heavy Duty Winch Strap. The heavy duty winch strap is going to have a loop on one end. This is for the installation onto a winch. The installation hardware is included. Here on the other end you're going to have the nice steel hook. It's also going to have the keeper.
That is included. That's going to prevent accidental disconnection. The strap is going to be a bright yellow in color. It's going to give us an overall length of 15' with an overall width of 2". It's got heavy duty stitching here on the ends of the strap so it's going to keep the strap intact. It's going to provide a nice long life.
Again this is a heavy duty strap. It's going to offer a break strength of 5,000 pounds. It's rated for winches up to 3,200 pounds. Again, the mounting hardware is included. Real quick we're just going to take a simple measurement of the hook space that we have. You can see here that it's a nice U shape.
If we measure the opening that we have, just measuring the inside, that's going to give us a measurement of about 1-1/8". You're going to have plenty of room to get whatever it is that you need to connect to in here and you're going to have plenty of room for that keeper to come down over that connection point. That's a great feature to have. That's just going to prevent accidental unhooking. That's going to do it for our review of part number DL24237. This is the heavy duty winch strap with a break strength of 5,000 pounds.

This new winch strap is just what I needed..Looks like it will stand the test of time and has UV protection..
Strap works great and looks great with my yellow and white 1971 MFG 13-1/2 foot boat. I also painted the trailer yellow and white and wanted the strap to match. It does and looks sharp. Fits perfectly. No problems with the strap or with etrailer. They are my go to source for all trailer stuff, and once in a while other things not for a trailer. Great prices, great service.

Fit fine, works great. Pleased it came with hardware. Had to replace a 21/2" strap which is almost impossible to find. This worked well. Shows no wear a year later.
I needed a heavy duty strap for my 23' boat, but since i have a float on trailer, i didnt need 25-30 ft of strap. This 15' strap is perfect and most importantly, fits on my winch reel. etrailers customer service is second to none.

Much heavier duty than the strap it replaced and fit perfectly on the spool. It included 2 bolts, one slightly longer than the other. The 15 ft length was perfect for my application. Any longer and it would not have fit on the spool. Ordered it on a Thursday afternoon and it was delivered Saturday. Installation was simple. Great product. Great service. Thanks ETrailer!

It frayed and was about to break after one season of use. The prior one lasted 7 years and I have replaced it with another one of these. It has a double loop after the hook.
