Winch Recommendation for a Boat Trailer that had a 2,000 lb Winch Installed

Question:

My 1996 Robalo 2140 Walkaround needs a new winch. The trailer now has sliders, there was a 2000 lb capacity winch.....was that enough or should a new one be bigger? The boat is an Offshore personal recreational fishing vessel.

Roller bunks actually will make winching easier than carpeted bunks, so if a 2,000 lb capacity winch was used before it would work even easier with your roller bunks.

That being said the Fulton XLT Winch part # F142425 would be a great choice that would have more than enough capacity.

If you wanted to go with a 2,000 lb winch that is similar you would want the Fulton F2 Winch part # FW20000301.
