Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Excellent value and quality. Bought these before driving 20 hours to buy an old boat and trailer. Didn't want to risk blowing a trailer tire on the way home. Bought these, brought them with us, installed them after buying the boat and drove 20 hours home. No issues and they're still on the trailer today. Would recommend.

Real, honest-to-goodness Load Range C, as advertised. Steel wheel was made in South Korea and seems to have a very generous galvanizing coating. We'll see how it holds up over the years, but it looks good so far! Rapid delivery, which was free, also appreciated.
These wheels/tires will go on my 35-year old 4x8 utility trailer which gets a lot of use.

good rubber , good wheel, 6/32 tread instead 7/32 on duro brand tire but tire will be unsafe to drive with (5 years) long before tread wears out and I fish alot

I got a FREE boat, motor and trailer from my son-in-law. After cleaning years of grime and junk off of them, the boat and motor were in good shape but the trailer needed lots of work. I scraped it and painted it but the wheels and tires were too rusty and weather checked to be safe. I ordered three galvanized wheels with Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 tires mounted on them from etrailer.com. They look great and really dress up the whole rig. Shipping was lightning fast and the price was great! I will be ordering from them again in the future!

After a year's travel on my racing sailboat trailer, the Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 tires and rims are performing to expectations.
I live on the Texas Gulf coast, so I need galvanized rims. These are performing well. No rusting thru, no corrosion, no flaking.
The tires are also performing very well. I frequently travel to racing venues well over 1000 miles away - Iowa, Kansas, N. Dakota, Oklahoma, Florida, Mississippi, Louissiana, and all over Texas. The tires show very little wear, ride smooth, and track well.
FYI, I make a habit of taking every trailer tire - even these tiny 4.80/4.00-8 size - to be balanced at a tire shop before they ever touch the road. My local guy only charges $5 a tire, and to me, it is money well spent.
Really pleased with tires and wheels. In the middle of moving to our retirement home... One little trailer full at a time. It's about a 700 mile round trip, and I have well over 5,000 miles on the tires. My trips have me traveling on everything from interstate highways to gravel roads; I've had no problems on any of them. In general, etrailer.com has been my go-to place to get parts for my trailers.

A year later these tires and wheels are still holding up great. I have them on a small boat trailer and they handle the freeway and windy bumpy back-roads equally well. Would buy again.
Be informed, the pilot hole is not 2.5" as described in both the written description and the video. It is more like 2 13/16". Even though I have bolts and not lug nuts the wheel worked out for me (I did not return it). I informed customer service and they confirmed the measurement but, as of the time I wrote this review the description has not been changed. Otherwise, it is a great product for the price. Overall service, delivery time, and assistance with the pilot hole issue was great. I only rated 4 stars instead of 5 because the description was wrong.
Purchased in January, with Covid-19, etc. didn't mount them on my boat trailer until April and in July took my first long trip. Trailer performed perfectly with the new tires/rims. Rims are of high quality galvanized steel. Lking forward to great service and long life.
