Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires
Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

My trailer was rusting and deteriorating in my back yard for 15 years so I decided to rebuild it. I bought most of the mechanical parts for my trailer rebuild at E-trailer. The parts fit perfect and are like the original parts. Springs, tires, wheels, shackles and hubs fit perfect and work well making the trailer rebuild a success.

I have the tires and rims I bought for about a year now, probably have about 4000 miles on them, the tires and rims still look brand new, no indication of any wear at all, great product. the tires and rims were bought for my motorcycle trailer. Bought these 5.7-8's to replace the old & dry-rotted 4.8-8 rims/tires on a small & lightweight trailer. The Load Stars from Kenda are more than what I need; these babies are heavy duty quality that serve my purpose more than well. The trailer is much more stable than before and they look fantastic. Very pleased with my purchase and service/delivery time from etrailer. BTW, I'm about to purchase 4 Reversible Ratchet Straps from etrailer because no local store or internet site had them or could come close to the price or length selection.

I purchased these wheels to replace ones that were dry rotted on my 4' x 8' Haulin utility trailer. The wheels have a, attractive, bright galvanized finish. I expect this will reduce or eliminate rusting like occurred on my old wheels. Tires don't appear to have much tread depth, but only miles will tell how they perform. Overall, this looks like a good value.
