8 inch Wheel and Tire with a Larger Pilot Diameter than 2.5 Recommendation

Question:

Have a small utility trailer with 4.80/4-8 inch wheels. The hub size is 2.75 inches. It uses lug bolts to attach. Have tried to buy new wheel with tires and all I can find are 2.5 inch hubs. Is this a new standard? Where do I find wheels to fit? Bought the Loadstar thinking it would fit and it did not.

Is it possible that you have a 2.8 inch pilot diameter? If so we have some options that would work like the part # AM30060 that has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern and a 2.8 inch pilot diameter.

If you have a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern you would want the part # AM30050.

If you are unsure of your wheel's bolt pattern I attached an FAQ article that will help you determine your bolt pattern.
