Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires
Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Tires and rims are great. Only shipped 1 of 2 hubs. Also shorted a lug nut. Customer service got me the other hub but not the lug nut. The hubs and bearing race do not provide enough room to get the race out. I had to cut one of the races out and now have to get a new bearing.

Three resets in expectations. Wrote up detailed timeline and just as i an finishing, it kills my review. So annoying. I will not rewrite, but in summary an in stock it with load range c was ordered and within minutes an email sent not in stock but load range b in stock. Okayed that. And next day 1 of 2 not in stock and pushed schedule 4 days. Then at the fifth day i check and order is “gathered” but would ship another 4 days later. I write back this is third reset in expectations and get your order management and inventory management systems synced. The next day i get a letter it shipped, the day after it was gathered. I like etrailer, but they need to work on get their IT dept to tighten up the inventory locking, on order, and messaging to match reality.
