A trailer jack lifts your trailer tongue high enough to allow you to couple it with your vehicle. Usually, your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your Gross Trailer Weight. For example, a 10,000-lb trailer has a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. For this to work, you'd need a jack strong enough to lift a static load of no less than 1,500 lbs. And, yes, it's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, this should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com And today we're gonna take a look at this etrailer round wheeled swivel jack. Now this marine jack is going to let you support lift and lower your boat or recreational trailer. And this is going to fit trailer tongues up to four inches tall. It's going to have a lift capacity of 1,500 pounds. And this convenient spring-loaded handle that you see here is going to let you easily swing this jack into place and then pivot it up up to stow parallel to your trailer tongue for travel. And then move back into the upright position for use.
So that's going to make it very easy and very convenient. The handle's very easy to grab onto and to use. And this is a bolt-on installation. So it is going to include the necessary brackets and hardware that you are going to need to install this to your trailer tongue. And it's gonna bolt up right to the side of your trailer tongue.
Now this features two thermoplastic wheels that are going to provide support and simple maneuverability. And the bracket that is supporting the wheels or holding the wheels into place is welded to the bottom of this inner tube. So the wheels do spin as you can see here, but it they do, since the bracket is welded to that inner tube, that tube is going to spin along with it as well. So just wanted to make you aware of that. The dimensions of each wheel, the diameter is about six inches.
And then, the width of each wheel is about two inches. And this is also going to feature this sidewind handle. And this is going to give you the ability to easily raise and lower your trailer. And the handle operates very smoothly. It's not hesitating in any way or binding up or anything like that.
So it's a very consistent, very smooth operation. And this jack is constructed from a sturdy steel construction and it's going to feature a corrosion-resistant clear zinc finish. So this is gonna be very durable for you. It's gonna be highly resistant towards rust and corrosion. So that means for you is that this jack is going to be great and ideal for marine applications. Now just some measurements that I think you'll find helpful here. Let me turn this around here a little bit so you can see the bracket from the bottom of the wheel to the center of our bracket. We're gonna be sitting right at about 14 3/4 inches when this is fully retracted at its lowest setting. And then if you have this fully extended, measuring again from the base of the bottom of our wheels to the center of the bracket, that's going to be about 26 1/4 inches. So this jack is going to give you a travel or a lift of about 11 1/2 inches. Some other measurements that I think you might find helpful. The mounting bracket dimensions, the bracket itself, the overall width is 6 1/2 inches. And the overall height is 5 1/2 inches. Now looking at our mounting holes here, beginning with going across here, so from center to center, from left to right, we are sitting right at 5 1/2 inches, again, center to center. And then going down from the center of the top hole to the center of our nearest hole, we are sitting right at 2 1/2 inches. And then from the center of our top hole to the center of our middle hole, that's going to measure 3 1/2 inches. And then finally, from the center of our top hole to the center of our bottom or last hole here, that's going to be about 4 1/2 inches. An instruction manual is included to go over the basics of this jack. And again, you're going to have everything that you need here to get this installed on your trailer and you'll be ready to go. Marine-grade zinc resists rust and salt corrosion.Welded jack mounting plate to trailer. Then jack disconnected from mounting plate so that had to be welded back on. Then jack gears broke on top.
So jack does not function. The one good thing about this product is the double wheels.
wheel arrived today thank you i was told to expect it monday wheel in place and it rolls rite, just would have liked it better if the wheels were hard rubber thank you again fast delivery

Ya, I'm good! As I recall the items were: springs, wheel bearings, couplers and at least one jack. I was working on small boats and trailers. Bought and sold a few to get ahead enough so that I could keep one for myself, as the fruits of my labor. I'm not in need of any parts right now. Your website is saved to my desktop for future reference.
Very heavy duty with flexibility on how to install. Seems very solid.
So glad I got the MaxxTow Round, swivel jack for my cargo trailer. Previously I had to remove the foot plate at the bottom of the tongue jack because if I had to go over uneven ground or driveway dips, the jack would bottom out. Now I just have to swing the jack up and no more worries!
This jack fits my trailer / tow vehicle perfectly. The rear door of my Jeep opens horizontally, so the jack's swing-up feature makes opening the door possible. The relatively short overall length stows nicely against the limited space on the trailer frame.
Also, the dual wheels make rolling the trailer into it's storage location by hand much easier.
High quality trailer Jack that seems to be very rugged. Easy 10 minute to remove the old one and install the new one. Let’s now see how it holds up to the test of time!

The bracket hole spacing does not exactly match the mechanisms side. The threads on the bolts are jut short enough to prevent good tightening. The bracket for one wheel was too narrow to allow the wheel to fit. I had to bend it out.
Shipping was super fast, I had a 30 year old jack that worked so hard, this new jack is so easy to turn and I am 70 years old and even I can move the boat with those duel wheels, all mounting hardware was included, the video's were a great help, I will say this, you won't be misled when ordering product from this company, I felt like they went beyond normal in everything concerning my purchase, thanks.

The product arrived well packed and with instructions and parts well labeled. Initially I thought it would not fit my trailer tongue since the hole spacing was only 4.5 inches vertically as delivered. However, since the entire mechanism rotates to stow, I found that the width measurement at 5.5 inches made that imagined problem moot. The 18mm nuts on the mounting bolts are significantly larger than the 9/16ths one it replaced and provide a much stronger and solid mount. I'm very pleased with the unit. The 11.5 inch lift gives my trailer the additional height required to connect my truck hitch without the wobble and complications of the entry level unit that it replaced. etrailer made the decision easy and the delivery uneventful. If you have a heavy or large trailer, this unit is a winner......

After a year of use, I only wish I had found and purchased this unit long ago. Its user friendly, strong, and durable.....
The MT70149 trailer jack is one sturdy piece of hardware. Easy to install alone, (but would be twice as easy if you had a little help), it mounted right to the side of my ATV trailer and fits snugly when fully retracted and stowed. Instructions are fairly good, but could be better illustrated so study them thoroughly before you start so you can get the mounting plate orientation right or you may have to dismount the unit. Cranks down with little effort - a 10 year old could easily crank this down! The wheels at a full 6" diameter making it easy to maneuver on a solid or semi-solid surface. Very "clean" installation. I rate this a full 5 stars. You will too!

One year in operation and it operates very well

These wheels make pulling or pushing my etrailer by hand so easy!
This is a heavy duty trailer tongue jack. Last Fall, a large pine tree fell on the boat wrecking the T-top. The trailer jack was slightly bent where it joins the tongue. However, it is still serviceable. Any other jack would have been destroyed.

Love this jack! I use my trailer for hauling wood and I no longer have to worry about unloading right away, I can just use this and let it sit in my barn until ready to hook it up and haul to my campsite!!
