Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 72-inch long, by four inch wide steel piano hinge. Now this hinge will provide nice sturdy, continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door, your panel. It's great for oversized doors, trailer doors, and entrance doors. And this will provide more support than multiple small hinges. This is a nice continuous design, which will reduce stress on the hinge when used with heavier doors, and the stubs rotate 270 degrees.
Wanna try to show you that. You have it laying flat now, So if we lift this up, you can see that when you take that hinge back, it'll go back about 90 degrees. And then when you bring it back around, It'll rotate about all the way about 180 degrees. So total rotation on this as about 270 degrees, gives you full opening and closing motion. It has a nice durable steel construction, uses an unplated mill finish on it.
And this is a weld on or bolt on installation, Now the bolted on it will require drilling holes into the hinge. This part is the made USA. I'm going to give you some measurements on this. We'll start with the length. We measure from one end, all the way to the other end, 72 inches or six feet.
The width on this, again, we'll go back to zooming in and see if I can raise this up a little bit here, so we can see. When we hold it in the open position right now, you can see it is in the open position. So if we measure the width, total width on that is going to be right at four inches. Of knuckle length, each one of these is a knuckle here. So if we've measured the length on that, you can see if I put a ruler on that it's going to be right at two inches.
So each knuckle will measure two inches long, and the pin diameter, in other words, the pin that goes all the way through these knuckles that holds the two pieces together, that pin diameter is five eighths of an inch. But that should do it for the review on the 72 inch long, four inch wide steel piano hinge..

Very impressed with the quality this hinge. I had to repair my FlipBak tonneau cover. This hinge will provide superior security over the original piece of rubber that those tonneau covers use as a hinge.

3 stars, due to packaging. Ordered 3 inch by 72 inch piano hinge. Packaging tube arrived without hinge, cap on end was missing.Went to post office to see if they seen it and they did. Brought it home and is in working condition.

used cobalt drill bit drilled 4 holes in hinge on corners with paper to keep door space for future paint ,drilled holes in hinge only just touch wood ,undid 4 screws ,recessed wood with bur thing ,punched stainless hinge into wood, screwed in screws near flush ,very clean super price and strong ,thank you
