Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 72 inch long, three inch wide steel piano hinge. Now this hinge will provide a nice sturdy, continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door or your panel. This is great for oversized doors, trailer doors and entrance doors. It will provide more support than multiple small hinges. And it is a nice continuous design, so it does reduce the stress on the hinge with heavier doors.
Now this does rotate 270 degrees. Just gonna try to show you that. You can see if we bend it this way, it'll go about 90 degrees that way, and then. 180 degrees that way. So it gives you a grand total of 270 degrees of motion for full opening and closing.
It is a nice durable steel construction, has an unplated Mill finish. Now this is a weld-on or bolt-on installation. Now to bolt it on it will require drilling holes into the hinge. This part is made in the USA. A few dimensions on this.
First we're gonna measure the overall length. So I'm gonna go from one end, all the way to the other end. It's right at 72 inches, or six feet in length. The width of it, at the widest point, when it's fully open this way. I'm gonna go ahead and zoom in so we can get a better look at it.
So the width of it, is gonna be right at three inches wide. That's the open width. Now the knuckle length, each one of these is a knuckle right here. So the length on one of those is right at one inch. And the pin diameter that goes through the hinge is a quarter of inch diameter. So it's a very sturdy hinge. I had to repair my FlipBak tonneau cover. This hinge will provide superior security over the original piece of rubber that those tonneau covers use as a hinge.

3 stars, due to packaging. Ordered 3 inch by 72 inch piano hinge. Packaging tube arrived without hinge, cap on end was missing.Went to post office to see if they seen it and they did. Brought it home and is in working condition.

used cobalt drill bit drilled 4 holes in hinge on corners with paper to keep door space for future paint ,drilled holes in hinge only just touch wood ,undid 4 screws ,recessed wood with bur thing ,punched stainless hinge into wood, screwed in screws near flush ,very clean super price and strong ,thank you
