Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 72-inch-long, three-inch-wide aluminum piano hinge. Now this hinge will provide a nice sturdy continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door or your panel. It's great for oversize doors, trailer doors, and entrance doors, and this will provide more support than multiple small hinges. You can see this hinge is a nice continuous design, so it does reduce the stress on the hinge when used with heavier doors. And this hinge does rotate about 270 degrees.
Just to show you what we're talking about, I wanna show you that one of the sides'll rotate back 90 degrees, and you can see, if you rotate it the other 180 degrees, gives you a grand total of 270 degrees of rotation for a nice full opening and closing motion. This is a nice durable aluminum construction, has a nice milled finish to resist corrosion. This is a weld-on or bolt-on installation, now to bolt it on, it will require drilling holes into the hinge. This part is made in the USA. Few specs on this, go ahead and take our tape measure.
And then we'll go from one end all the way to the other end. So total length, 72 inches or six feet. The width on it, and I have it in the fully opened position, you can see, so the widest it's gonna be, we'll zoom in again. So the total width on this is gonna be right at three inches. The knuckle length, in other words, each one of these knuckles right here, they're gonna measure one inch, and the pin diameter, in other words, that pin that goes through those knuckles that hold these two pieces together, that pin diameter is a quarter of an inch.
And again, you can see how it rotates. But that should do it for the review on this 72-inch-long, three-inch-wide aluminum piano hinge..

Used the hinge to build a door for my race car trailer, worked perfect.
Just what I needed, hinge description is spot on, easy to cut to length
The hinges were shipped in a tube through UPS.
When they arrived, the tube was broken and both hinges were bent. The driver asked me if I wanted to return them.
Since I needed them now, and didn’t want to wait for new ones, I told the driver no, I would keep them.
Just thought you should know.

Correct item received, but tape gum on the hinge will require extensive cleaning before use. Was not necessary to be taped up, Or use painters tape the is easily removable leaving no film.

Was sent wrong and when we called they reshipped out the correct part but we were a week behind on finishing a job because they would not ship any different than original even though it was not our fault.
