Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Provider Radials

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Match Mounted and Balanced Trailer Tire Assembly

In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.

To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.

Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I ordered two mounted trailer tires. The order process was simple and the tires were shipped the next day. Unfortunately I only received one tire, which was UPS fault. I reported to etrailer.com that I only received one tire and they opened an investigation with UPS. After about 10 days I received notice that a replacement tire had been shipped. Two days later I had the second tire. I have to give etrailer.com an A+ for making me a satisfied customer.

by:

Old tires were Hi-Run Radials that came with purchase of enclosed trailer.
Tires I purchased will replace tires of which one had blown out this past summer. Maybe 2000 miles on tires. Have a feeling I rode over object on freeway.
New Tires are rated above what my trailer axles and trailer itself are rated for, but with Higher Rating and Stronger Construction and Increased Speed Rating they should perform for many miles, like cheap insurance.

I purchased this as a spare for my utility trailer in case I am more than 20 km from my home. I haven't needed to use it yet. It is worth the peace of mind to know that I am not leaving equipment on the side of the road unattended.

The 14 in, 8 ply trailer tires & rims worked perfectly on my 2006 2720 SD Trailmanor. Traveled 150 miles no swaying, no heat build up, just a smooth ride..

A while ago I bought a trailer which I had planned to turn into a tiny home. Life happened and plans changed, so the trailer sat in my driveway for two years, during which the already-old tires began to rot. I decided the best move was to sell the trailer, but obviously I have to replace the tires first. I found that ordering the tires already mounted was the best option for me (rather than jacking my trailer up, taking the tires off one side at a time, leaving the trailer jacked up and taking the old wheels somewhere to get new tires put on them... then repeating the process with the other side.) I have no experience with tire specs, wheel sizes, etc. But between reading the specs on the existing tires and the helpful measurement information on this site I was able to order the exact right wheels for my trailer. I ordered two (of four) to start because money's tight, but they arrived on time and in perfect condition, and I replaced the old ones in about 40 minutes. They look great and are perfectly inflated. Couldn't be happier! So simple I ordered the other two immediately after writing this review! Now I can sell my trailer and make that money right back!

  • Replacement Dual Wheel Dual Axle Wheels for 16.5 x 6 Rims with 8 on 6-1/2 Inch Bolt Pattern
For your 16-1/2 inch dually wheels we don't have an exact match as what you have is an odd size. However, I do have an option for you that will work for your trailer. Since we don't have any combinations that are 16-1/2 inches, you need to replace all 8 and move down to 16-inch wheels which we do have combinations options for. Since radial tires are more for highway use and bias tires have sidewalls that are more stiff for off-road use the Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWPRG235R16 is going to give you a much smoother ride quality than the a bias tire. The extra flex in the sidewall of a radial tire not only helps to dissipate heat build-up but it also keeps the ride from being as bouncy as it would with bias tires. It is definitely possible that the Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range G Item # TTWPRG235R16 you were looking at will be able to fit your 2020 Grand Design Solitude 310GK but to confirm this you will need to take a few measurements. The larger tire size 235/80-16 will be right at 2-1/2 inches taller in diameter than the current size you have of 225/75-15. If you have the needed clearance for that there's no reason you couldn't upgrade to the larger size. If you have an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern you'd need the # TTWA16RGWSHD or if you have a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern you'd want the part # AM32764.

  • Can I Replace 235/80-16 Tires with 235/85-16 Tires on a Trailer
It is best to have at least 4-1/2 inches of clearance between your trailer tire's tread and the underside of the trailer/fender. Of this 4-1/2 inches, 3 inches is directly for tire clearance and the additional 1-1/2 inches is for defection of the suspension. Typically, ST235/80-16 size tires have an overall diameter of 30.9 inches. For ST235/85-16 size tires, the overall diameter is increased to 31.6 inches. Moving up a tire size will bring your tire tread approximately 3/8 of an inch...
