Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 72 inch long, two inch wide stainless steel piano hinge. Now, this hinge would provide sturdy, continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door, or your panel. It's great for oversized doors, trailer doors, and entrance doors. And this will provide more support than multiple small hinges.
It is a nice continuous design, so it does reduce stress on the hinge when used with heavier doors. And this does rotate 270 degree, 270 degrees. Just want to zoom in and show you what we're talking about. So, you can see this part will fold back about 90 degrees. And then if you fold it the other way, it'll go about 180 degrees more.
So, it's about 270 degrees total revolution or rotation. Gives you a nice full opening and closing motion. And this is made of a durable stainless steel construction, which will resist corrosion. Does use a 2B mill finish, which gives the metal a bright shine. It's a standard finish that's nice, smooth, bright and moderately reflective, and may exhibit a slight luster.
Now, to install this in, it is a weld-on or bolt-on installation. Now, if you do bolt it on, it does require drilling holes into the hinge. This part is made in the USA. Few specs on this, we'll start with the overall length. So, we'll take our tape measure, go from one end, all the way to the other end, right at 72 inches or six feet.
The width on it when we have it all fully in, in the open position you can see, so the width, that position is gonna be right at two inches. And the knuckle length, each one of these partial portions here is called a knuckle. So, if we do the length of each knuckle is gonna be, you can see right at one inch. And the pin diameter, in other words, the long pin that goes through those knuckles that hold these two pieces together, diameter of that pin is gonna be right at a quarter of an inch. Again, you can see how it folds 270 degrees. But that should do it for the review on this 72 inch long by two inch wide stainless steel piano hinge..

used cobalt drill bit drilled 4 holes in hinge on corners with paper to keep door space for future paint ,drilled holes in hinge only just touch wood ,undid 4 screws ,recessed wood with bur thing ,punched stainless hinge into wood, screwed in screws near flush ,very clean super price and strong ,thank you

Very impressed with the quality this hinge. I had to repair my FlipBak tonneau cover. This hinge will provide superior security over the original piece of rubber that those tonneau covers use as a hinge.

3 stars, due to packaging. Ordered 3 inch by 72 inch piano hinge. Packaging tube arrived without hinge, cap on end was missing.Went to post office to see if they seen it and they did. Brought it home and is in working condition.

Was very surprised with the quality of the hinge for the price. etrailer went above and beyond with packaging and shipping. - Replacement Door Hinge For A 1992 Skyline Nomad Travel Trailer With your trailer being 30 years old most parts are discontinued at this point so a lot of troubleshooting and redneck engineering is going to be involved. The closest I can find to a 2" x 72" door hinge for your broken door would be the 2" Wide Continuous Hinge - 6' Long - 1/4" Pin Diameter # MA54ZR.
