Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 72 inch long by three inch wide steel piano hinge. Now, this hinge will provide sturdy, continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door, or your panel. This is great for oversized doors, trailer doors, entrance doors. And will provide more support than multiple small hinges.
It is a continuous design, so it does reduce stress on the hinge when used with heavier doors. Just want to zoom in and show you this does rotate 270 degrees for full opening and closing motion. You can see right now this will rotate. You can see if we bring it all the way up, 180 degrees this way. And I can get this lifted up, you can see that it'll still go back about 90 degrees this way.
So, the 90 and the 180 will get you a total of 270 degree rotation. This is a durable steel construction. Has a nice unplated mill finish. This is a weld-on or bolt on installation. Now, if you do bolt it on, it will require drilling holes into the hinge.
And this hinge can be cut to your specific size for your application. This part is made in the USA. Just wanna zoom back out. We're gonna give you the length on this. If we take our tape measure and go from one end, all the way to the other end is right at 72 inches or six feet in length.
The open width, zoom back in. Open width, again, let me see if I can raise this up. You can see is gonna be when this is totally in the open position. So, if we can get a ruler on that, we can see it's gonna be right at three inches, our open width. The knuckle length, each one of these sections here is a knuckle. So, the measurement on one of those knuckles is gonna be right at two inches. And then the pin diameter, this is a very large hinge so the pin, the solid pin that goes through these knuckles to hold these two pieces together, the diameter on that pin is 5/8 of an inch. Very impressed with the quality this hinge. I had to repair my FlipBak tonneau cover. This hinge will provide superior security over the original piece of rubber that those tonneau covers use as a hinge.

3 stars, due to packaging. Ordered 3 inch by 72 inch piano hinge. Packaging tube arrived without hinge, cap on end was missing.Went to post office to see if they seen it and they did. Brought it home and is in working condition.

used cobalt drill bit drilled 4 holes in hinge on corners with paper to keep door space for future paint ,drilled holes in hinge only just touch wood ,undid 4 screws ,recessed wood with bur thing ,punched stainless hinge into wood, screwed in screws near flush ,very clean super price and strong ,thank you
