Electric, fifth-wheel landing gear set's motor has an IP-rated switch for fast, easy, and safe operation. Each leg is 33-1/2" tall, offers 19-7/8" of travel, and has a 15" drop leg for extra lift. Combined weight capacity is 6.5K.

  • Single-speed motor won't trip circuits or cause problems with coach's electrical systems
    • IP-rated switch will not spark, so it can be mounted safely in bottle-gas area
  • Drop legs minimize jacking time and help to level the trailer on uneven ground
    • Legs adjust in 1" increments
  • Cage pins included to release drop legs

Specs:

  • Leg length: 33-1/2"
  • Total lift: 34-7/8"
    • Travel: 19-7/8"
    • Drop leg: 15"
  • Combined weight capacity: 6,500 lbs
  • 1-Year warranty

Note: Landing gear is designed to stabilize a portion of your trailer's weight, not to support the full GVWR of your trailer. Do not use landing gear to lift your trailer or RV during tire changes or service work because doing so will exceed the capacity of the landing legs.

Stromberg Carlson's landing gear was designed with safety in mind. The motor, manufactured by Lippert, won't trip circuits or cause problems with the coach's electrical systems. In addition, the IP-rated switch will not spark, so it can be mounted safely in the bottle-gas area.

Convenience is also a hallmark of this product. An inner drop leg on each jack makes leveling easy by allowing the jack feet to reach the ground quickly and at varying heights, saving time and thus reducing the draw on the trailer's battery. The cage pins that secure the drop legs can be replaced with spring-loaded pull pins (LG-119113 - sold separately) that allow for single-handed operation. Large, rectangular, pivoting footpads are included, but you can use larger, 9-inch-diameter pads (LG-210475 - sold separately) instead if you often camp on soft ground.

This system and its parts were designed to be compatible with most of the other fifth-wheel landing gear on the market, including Atwood and Lippert. If you're replacing your old landing gear, you can install this set from Stromberg Carlson using your existing mounting hardware.

Landing gear was exactly what I ordered. Prompt delivery. Package was perfect. Landing gear just not as heavy duty as I hoped. I'm sure I will be replacing it again in a few years.

Just what I needed, fast shipping, great product.

I'm typically not one to complain or write a poor review however, E-Trailer has produced very poor customer service and product handling. I called and ordered this landing gear over the phone to ensure with a representative that I was getting the correct part. My concern was the weld stops mounting up to my current brackets. The representative ensured they would fit after reviewing specs. When the legs arrived I was surprised by how poor the packaging was upon opening the makeshift packaging the legs looked like they were used and they were missing several parts. I contacted customer service they offered a $[XX] discount and part replacement. When I went to install the legs, I discovered that they would not fit my brackets and the measurements the representative gave we not accurate. I called customer service again. The end result was I had to purchase another set of legs and wait up to 14 days to get reimbursed for the legs which were the wrong fit. I requested a discount of some sort due to the inconvenience this caused. The supervisor offered expedited shipping and that is all. If I wasn't in a situation in which I needed new legs to repair my 5th wheel, I would have definitely gave my business to another company.

Still love them and work well

by:

I have a 2010 Bighorn 3055rl and these jacks were an exact match to the failed jacks so installation was simply a reverse of the removal. All of the necessary parts were included for a full replacement. The quality seems similar to the originals. I hope they last longer and they should as I have changed how I operate them. In my opinion, they did not come with enough grease on them and that may also be part of the reason the original jacks failed. I put plenty of grease on these.

Still working as expected.

I purchased this landing gear to replace the RBW landing gear on a 1998 Mallard made by Fleetwood. Only one side of the RBW was bad, but I was unable to find parts to repair it. I had to weld new brackets to the legs to match the existing U brackets that were already welded to the frame of the 5th wheel. Everything went smoothly with the installation until I went to hook up the square tubing for the cross bar that ties the legs together. The tubing was about 8" too short to reach from one leg to the other. Luckily I was able to use the cross bars from the original RBW gear. I am not sure why the Stromberg Carlson cross bar was so short because my 5th Wheel is a standard width. Other than that it looks like a good product.

We have used the camper jacks at least 11 times and they have worked perfectly & also operates very quietly. We are very pleased with them & give it a 5 star rating.

by:

I could not find exactly the right size that I need it for the front of my 40 foot Jayco fifth wheel however this unit work just fine and has given me a year’s good service no problems no complaints

by:

Box was torn apart all parts were still in it plus some stuff that didn’t belong

by:

I put them on they will lift the trailer by hand but motor can’t lift is there a strong motor for this you Customerservice said it would lift this trailer it is a Fleetwood terry 5th wheeler

by:

Product was exactly what I needed. We only had to make one modification to the legs so that we did not have to weld in the new straps. Works perfect.
I would love that it instructions would have shown the picture as if you were facing the equipment.

by:

Best way to go even if your just fixing your ecisting jacks. They have made many improvements to the motor and gear box.

by:

Product arrived in excellent shape (UPS shipper), had all parts, instructions, and installed as specified. I shop etrailer because of price, quality and delivery. Great bunch of folks if you have questions.

I wasn't sure about this product when I ordered it. I measured my old unit several times and everything seemed to match. I was very pleased to find everything I found on the website was correct and the install went much smoother than I anticipated. Very happy with the end result.

  • Troubleshooting Landing Gear Not Lifting 5th Wheel
Any powered landing gear or powered tongue jack will draw less power as it legs descend down toward the ground and much more as soon as they make contact and encounter resistance. This is a normal occurrence. In the same way, any jack - even a manual hand-crank type - requires less power (or force) when lowering the trailer than when lifting it. The cause for your powered landing gear losing steam could be any of several possibilities. These include the trailer's battery not being rated...

I do have a couple of solutions for you that will work for your 2004 Jayco Eagle fifth wheel. Upon first glance, it appears that your landing gear might have been made by Venture, which is not one of our vendors, but we sell other systems that will work well. If they are 29-1/2" long then I recommend using the Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set part # LG-3 but if they are 33-1/2" then I recommend using the Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set part # LG-4. I spoke with Stromberg Carlson to confirm several replacement parts for you # LG-4 landing gear. It does sound like you need to replace the gears and you will be good to go. As the # LG-4 can technically be mounted on either side, I figured I would give you options for both sides, just in case. With that being said, # LG-146060 will be for follow leg and # LG-146059 will be for the lead leg. These will replace the gears and pins and should get you up and running again.
