Today we're going to be taking a look at a square jack with a drop leg and spring return. Now this companion jack works with your e-trailer or Ram 2 speed jack part number TJD2SP-25100. It is sold separately, but it does work with that jack to raise and lower your trailer. Now this is going to be ideal for standard, agricultural, construction and industrial trailer applications. The drop leg, which is this portion down here that's connected to the fit plate, that does feature spring return. So that's where we'll automatically return when we pull out that plunger pin. That's going to increase overall extension for maximum adjustability.

So the drop leg is a really neat feature to have. The plunger pin, as you can see it's got a nice, easy grip design. It does have an indention both horizontally and vertically that holds it in place. And that plunger pin is positioned to the side for easier access. The jack itself is made from a durable steel construction. It's going to feature a black, powder coated finish and it's going to resist rust and corrosion and last a long time.

It is designed as a weld-on installation, so it welds onto the trailer frame. The flip plate, which is located here at the bottom, it's a nice large diameter. That really helps prevent sinking on softer surfaces. That's going to have a diameter, excuse me 9 7/8 of an inch. Also right here, I want to point out that it has the built-in grease zerks.

That allows for easy maintenance so you can just attach a grease gun to it, pump in the grease and that's going to lubricate the internal components of the jack to keep everything operating as it should, which is going to help increase the overall lifespan of the unit. Now this features a lift capacity of 25,000 pounds, support capacity is 25,000 pounds as well. The overall height, now I did this with the jack in the fully retracted position and with the drop leg in the fully retracted position. For demonstration purposes, I do have the drop leg on the second adjustment hole. There's a total of four adjustment holes. But just to show you kind of how it functions.

But again, when I did the measurement for the outer dimension dimension I did it with the jack in the fully retracted position from the bottom of the foot plate to the very top of the unit I got a measurement of around 30 inches. I also did it with it fully extended, again not including the drop leg. I got a measurement of 43 inches. So that's going to provide us with a travel of 13 inches, not including the drop leg. I also took a measurement from the bottom of the foot plate to the bottom of that outer tube. Fully retracted, that measured 5 inches. Fully extended, that measured 18 inches. Again, not including the drop leg. Now this drop leg provides an additional 11 1/2 inches of travel. Again, I did mention that there's four adjustment holes on that drop leg. Each hole is separated on center by 4 inches. So that's the incremental height adjustment. If you are using this in conjunction with the Ram or E-Trailer two speed jack that I mentioned earlier, you can see here that it's got the rods at the top with the holes. This would be for a connecting rod. And you can see how that is going to raise and lower the unit. This portion right here gives us a diameter of 1 inch. That's the rod shaft diameter. The outer tube, which is this portion here, square design measures 4 3/8 inches by 4 3/8 of an inch. The inner tube, which is this portion here, that gives us a measurement of 4 inches by 4 inches and this outer tube right here, this is going to give us a length measurement of 25 inches.
