Video Transcript for Review of Ark Camper Jack - Stabilizer Jack - AR34FR

Today we're going to take a look at the Ark dropdown 24 inch long corner stabilizer jacks for a quantity of two. Now this stabilizer kit will come with the necessary equipment to minimize chassis movement in your camper or trailer. It includes the two jacks and the winding handle. Now these are corner stabilizer jacks. They help keep your chassis secure. They do use the twin pin locking swivel bracket with a multi positioning plate that'll give you different angles for the leg to swivel to. It uses this fold away large grip handle for comfortable and easily swiveling of the jack leg.

And they're connected to the two spring loaded pins. What you want to do is you want to rotate it, just pull it open and it'll let you rotate it to different position. And you can see the lock into place. So with this mounted on your trailer, you can see, you can put it at many different angles. If you want to totally put it up out of the way when you're traveling, just put it in the position there and you can see with it mounted under it, it'll hold it up out of the way.If you notice it has the large load bearing feet. They're ideal for soft ground. They do swivel to accommodate different terrain.

And you can see when the Jack is fully retracted, that foot will lock into place. The foot plate does measure six inches by six inches. Now to rotate it back to use it, just swivel it like that and release it and it'll lock it into place. It does come with this winding handle with the three quarter inch hex drive on it. That'll make extending or retracting your jack leg really simple. Basically, if you push your handle out of their way, put that right there and then as you twist this, you can see as you twist it this way, that'll extend the jack out to where you need it and if you do it the other way it'll retract it.Now when it's fully extended, height is 24 inches.

When it's totally retracted, like the position it is in now, is 16 inches tall. If you notice the heavy duty mounting brackets on the top here with the hardware, that's for installing it onto your trailer. This all has a nice zinc finish to it, provides corrosion resistance. And one last note on these jacks. These are stabilizer jacks, so they are not designed to do any lifting of the weight. They are only to be used to stabilize your camper or your trailer. But that should do it for the review on the Ark drop down 24 inch long corner stabilizer jacks for a quantity of two..

The box was a little beat up but, after all they are heavy steel parts and they are trying to keep the weight down for shipping coasts. The stabilizers were in great shape. I liked that the mounting brackets are removable and made it convenient to weld in place. The brackets could be bolted on but, you would have to countersink the bolts as there is about 1/8" clearance between the bracket and stabilizer body. I'm very happy with them and would recommend them. I would like to have etrailer show all the dimensions and capacities.

Replaced flimsy rusting scissor stabilizers w weldable mount Ark 24” Stabilizer, made paper templates for old mounting holes using center punch and drill press for the plates then replaced 5/16” bolts with 5/16”x 31/2” bail hitch pins for removing for boondocking on the washboard roads as they are heavy duty & mounted on an ATC aluminum trailer frame. Well built and beefy the zinc plated steel is better than powder coated sheet metal for rust control and a better looking rig

by:

We mounted ours above the frame and love that we can take our camper into the woods on bad roads and never have to wonder if our rear jacks will still be there when we get ready to set up! We’ve had ours on for a year now and highly recommend.

by:

I put the jacks on an over lander trailer I built to be pulled by my Atv. The jacks worked excellent to prevent side to side movement.

by:

I've built my 6X12 enclosed utility trailer for hauling my motorcycle, and camping in it when out riding. Replaced the rear jacks with the cheapest thing I could find after ripping them off once. Decided it was time for some quality replacements, and saw these ARK units on etrailer.
Worth every penny when I opened the box.
Made a project day out of the install and I am very happy now. Welded on the brackets (supplied) and found that I don't even need a tire jack for the trailer anymore. These lift the trailer wheel completely off the ground if needed.
Heading to Death Valley next month to try them out in the field.
Thank you etrailer once again.

A year later and a few trips, I have absolutely no regrets. Best jacks for trailers out there. When I mounted them, I could have put them a touch higher as I have to make sure the back of the trailer is high enough to swing them down. Ive even used them to lift the trailer and change a wheel bearing.

by:

Love these stabilizer jacks. The only thing I wish is it was able to lift and not just stabilize. It would be nice for changing tires on my small off road trailer.

We do carry a product that will allow you to raise the trailer quickly to change a tire. It is part # AM3620.

by:

Added one to each rear corner of my trailer to prevent it from lifting the rear of my truck when I load a 2,400lb compact tractor. Wasn't sure if they'd be strong enough when I was ordering them but after receiving them they are perfect and very well made! Works perfect

by:

Installed on my enclosed trailer conversion.. works great so far

by:

Awesome stabilizer.

I have done business with e-trailer a number of times. This time however, the shipping was slower than I had expected for an item I thought was "on the
shelf". I sent a comment to e-trailer and got a quick reply. "The Virus going around has slowed them down", Which reminded me that there are occasionally reasons for delays that are bigger than all of us.
E-trailer is a very good online business. The trailer jacks that I bought are exactly as advertised, well made, heavy duty, and once I get them installed I'm sure I will be happy with my purchase.

Love them.

by:

Great product and the price is fair would highly recommend it.

by:

Great product and phone support excelle nt

by:

Thankfully the product is durable because the packaging sucks. For the $XX increase since last fall, a little more effort with appropriate cardboard density would seem simple

by:

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jacks To Replace PJ-01 Corner Post Stabilizer Jack on 2022 Forest River NOBO
I do have a recommendation for you as we do not carry the PJ-01 stabilizers. Instead you might consider replacing your stabilizers with the much stronger Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # AR34FR. This will include 2 jacks which are much more durable then the stamped steel type stabilizers you currently have. They also quickly swivel up and down making it much easier to stabilize your camper. These jacks are also capable of up to 24" of total travel so there is less chance of running...

  • Does Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # AR34FR Have a Weight Capacity
I checked with Ark and they informed me that their Drop Down Corner Stabilizer set part # AR34FR will work great on your 2015 Passport Grand Touring Ultra Lite but these jacks do not have a weight capacity. This is what they sent me: "The # AR34FR is meant to only stabilize / steady the camper / caravan and is not meant to lift or hold its weight off the ground. For this reason the DDS600 does not have a weight rating as it not mean to hold up any weight only steady/stabilize."

  • Weight of ARK AR34FR Drop Down RV Stabilizer Jacks
The ARK # AR34FR Drop-Down RV Stabilizer Jacks weigh 12 lbs each, or 24 lbs in total. Because the jacks are meant to hold an RV stable and are not designed for lifting, the do not carry a stated weight capacity. I have attached a few photos for you with all the dimensions we have for the Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks part # AR34FR. That said, Ark is an Australian company so the measurements are in metric, millimeter to be specific so you may need to do some converting. In order to convert from millimeter to inch, divide by 25.4. For example, 422mm is roughly 16-1/2".

  • Does the Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Pivot Both Directions for 180° of Movement
It sounds like what you're actually asking is whether or not the leg can be folded up in both directions. The answer is- yes. The Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer # AR34FR will allow you to fold the legs up in both directions for 180 degrees of movement. The leg can be locked in a variety of positions along the 180 degree range of movement to provide you with great flexibility in where you can mount this on your trailer.

  • What Is The Weight Capacity Of The Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks
Because the Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # AR34FR are only meant to stabilize the trailer and not actually lift it they do not have an actual weight capacity. You would only extend the jack until it's touching the ground and then stop before it starts to lift the trailer.

The Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks - 2' Long Corner Steadies - Qty 2 # AR34FR you were looking at does not have a weight rating, as they are not designed to hold or lift the weight of your trailer. They are instead designed stabilize your trailer, which does not put nearly as much weight on them. I included a video of the # AR34FR for you to take a look at.

  • Recommended Replacements for Airstream 400914-03 Stabilizer Jacks
The ARK # ARK94FR stabilizer jacks could work for you, but you'll likely find they're too tall. The jacks measure 30 inches tall when fully extended or 19-1/2 inches tall when fully retracted. The existing 400914-03 jacks on your Airstream have a fully extended length of 19 inches, so these likely wouldn't be a good fit. The ARK # ARK34FR is height adjustable from 16-24 inches, so it would be more similar to your existing jack in that respect, so that's what I'd recommend going with. They're...

I recommend switching to the Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # AR34FR on your 2019 Rockwood 2109S. These use a zinc coating for corrosion resistance which is superior to the powder coat finish used on the Scissor Jacks # LC285325 included with your camper. Scissor jacks don't actually support that much of the trailer's weight, more just the downward force on the trailer from moving around inside of it so the Scissor Stabilizer Jacks w/ Handle # TJSCHD-24-4 you were looking at would be more than adequate. The Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # AR34FR are designed to be welded on, so this is the only way we can recommend installing them. With the included mounts there really is not enough room between the stabilizer itself and the mounting plate to add any additional hardware. So, bolting them on is really not possible. If you need a drop leg that can be bolted on, take a look at the Stallion Stabilizer Jacks # 288-01892-2 which are designed to be bolted on.

The ARK camper jacks definitely are top tier, but since you have a 16" distance you'll have to go with something a bit smaller like the etrailer Stabilizer Jacks # TJ01RT-HD. These drop leg jacks retract down to 11" and extend up to 18". These jacks fold up tightly to the frame and won't stick out in the way like scissor jacks do. They come in packs of two so you'll need to get two packs in order to stabilize each corner of your trailer.
