Is there a Replacement Motor for Atwood Landing Gear on a 1989 Mallard Coach Prairie Schooner
Question:
I have a 1989 Prairie Schooner 32 ft. 5th wheel, made by Mallard Coach. I need to replace my Atwood landing gear motor. My motor has a 4.600 center to center bolt pattern and a half inch I.D. on the drive socket. I cant find the right bolt pattern, Can you point me to a motor. the trailer is a 14,000 pound trailer.

Does the motor have any identifying numbers on it? Atwood no longer makes landing gear. That division was picked up by another company. But there is a list of motors and replacements that could be used if there is an equivalent made by the other company.
Otherwise the remaining option is to replace the landing gear completely. I have included a link to all of the electric landing gear options available.
If your existing system has the motor(s) mounted vertically on top of the legs then Ultra-Fab set # UF17-943010 is a great option. For horizontally mounted motors Stromberg-Carlson system # LG-4 for 33-1/2 inch tall legs or # LG-3 for 29-1/2 inch tall legs are popular options.
