Hitch pin and clip sold separately.I purchased Curt's 6" drop ball mount for my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport which is not lifted but has 32" tall tires. The utility trailer I plan to purchase recommends a 12" tongue/ball height for level towing. The Curt 6" drop ball mount places my tongue/ball height at 13.5" which is acceptable. The bottom of my tow ball mounting nut is now 12" above the road surface. Plenty of clearance for safe towing. I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of my Curt ball mount. I'm looking forward to purchasing a utility trailer soon. I think it will tow very nicely using my Curt 6" drop ball hitch.
I bought this on my knowledgeable brother's advice - he gave me the exact order number and link to buy from etrailer! I had it installed locally, without complications. I use my truck mostly to haul my horse or my friend's two donkeys in my 14-foot stock trailer. I have no complaints, the hitch does what it's supposed to do.

The mount has worked well. It is sized right to pull our small trailer and I also pulled a boat 600 mi with no issues.
The products (ball mount; hitch pin; spring) i received from etrailer.com are Curt branded. For me that means a first class hitch, accessories and great service from etrailer.com. eTrailer.com had the best total cost for the items I wanted. There C/S was outstanding.

trailer hitch works great with no flaws in manufacturing welds. Purchased to drop cycle trailer down 4 " off my honda Pilot. Now trailer is level and goes down the road great.

Works great. Just what I needed.
This product has the lowest drop of any bar I could find while still supporting 7500lbs. I needed it because I just bought a big flatbed landscaping trailer, and when I tow it, I do so with a Y-connector and a bike rack. With the 7500lb drawbar that came with the new trailer, there wasn't enough room above the ball hitch to connect or disconnect the trailer to it without removing the bike rack first. This product solves that problem.
The trailer hitch was top notch, very impressed. Unfortunately, the packaging was NOT. The receiver hitch was shipped loose in the box and the flanges that bolt to the frame of the vehicle busted through both ends of the box. The powder coat was scraped off one side due to this. The hitch needed to either be wrapped better or cardboard added to the box ends to keep this from happening.
The electrical receptacle I ordered at the same time was also loose out of the packaging, inside the box bouncing around with the heavy 4" rise ball mount. I was actually surprised that none of the fasteners were lost due the gaping holes in the box or that the electrical connector wasn't damaged, but fortunately, this time everything was okay.
I think this is a great company with great products, it's just very unfortunate that their shipping department doesn't take as much care in the delivery of those products.
We didn't actually use this drop hitch. We were going to use it in the rise orientation, but it was a tad bit too tall as the tail gate hit the trailer hitch. It looks like a quality part, but I don't have any use info for you.
I have been very pleased with this product so far and am extremely pleased with the Customer Service I have received from etrailer. I originally ordered a ball mount with a 8" drop. After receiving it and trying it out I found that I miscalculated and my boat trailer was not sitting level. I contacted etrailer and received an email with a UPS prepaid shipping label the next day. The whole thing could not have been easier on my end. That is how it should be done. Thanks to the etrailer team.

I just want to say. The trailer receiver I ordered was the best. The shipping deliver was fast. I called by phone to get just what I wanted. Do not trust the email pictures with what you just ordered. When I saw them I tried to cancel the order. It did not look right. When I received my order it was more than prefect.
My suggestion to all of you, explain in full detail what you need and they will ship the right hitch.
The products bought were exactly what I expected with regards to quality. But what I appreciated most was the short amount of time it took to receive the items - very quick turn around from placing the order to receiving all of the items. I had emailed etrailer a couple of times, once to get the tracking number and another just to acknowledge receiving it and both times customer service replied right away - so kudos to George J and the customer service team.
Fits perfectly in the rise position on our ‘84 Dodge B250 Ram van that has a class III Draw-Tite hitch. There is about 1 1/2” clearance between the vertical brace on the front of the ball mount, and the vehicle bumper. Be sure to watch the product video. It gives you all of the measurements you need to see if it will fit your vehicle.

What is there to say about a trailer ball and ball mount? Many miles on it and the trailer hasn't fallen off. Never had any problems with any Curt product.
Hitch and ball arrived quickly and were of high quality. powder coat finish looked great. Also compliments to the etrailer folks: their followup on the order was fast and professional. Their website is very easy to use and the tracking system for orders uses a pictorial map.

I received my order very quick and all items are just as advertised. I will defantly order from e-trailer again. Prices are ok too. I am impressed with the product lines they offer.
I'll be in the market for one or two trailer brake controllers very soon.
The ball arrived quickly and it appears to very strong with good welds.
The only issue I have is that it already had two good sized chips in the powder coating when it arrived. Probably from the ball that was also in the box. It could have used better packaging so the two items were not able to bang together. I did not ask for a replacement because it will surely get chipped during usage anyway.
I purchased this ball mount for my Dodge Ram 2500, and have towed a Jayco travel trailer >5000 miles since then with no troubles. Fit and finish are excellent; still looks new after a year of use.
