Differences Between Curt and etrailer Hitches Available for 2020 Toyota RAV4
Question:
What's the difference beteween the Curt and etrailer e23ZR. I have a 2020 RAV4, need the hitch mainly for a 2 inch bike rack I already own but I might pick up a small utility trailer at some point. Which hitch do you recommend? TYVM.

In just about every respect, both hitches are identical. The only major difference is that the etrailer offers a 75 lb higher tongue weight capacity. (You'd still need to abide by the towing capacities set forth by Toyota in the owner's manual).
Because the hitches are so similar in appearance, installation procedure, build quality and capacity you can't go wrong with either hitch option. You can choose the less expensive option and not feel like you've sacrificed anything.
If you wanted to gear up now for your future towing needs, I'd recommend the Curt # C56434 trailer wiring harness, If you use the provided links, you can see installation videos for both hitches. For a ball mount, I'd recommend # C45070 and for a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball # 19260 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
