Recommended 10,000 lb Capacity Ball Mount and 2 Inch Hitch Ball With 7 Drop

Question:

I would prefer to go with the non adjustable as it is much cheaper And I want you to recommend the 2 inch ball as well that will fit the mount. Yes my demco is up to 10, 000 Lbs but I am ok with 7000+ setup it’s not necessary to be 10,000 because my trailer fully loaded will be around 5500 lbs. Thanks

There is a ball mount that has a 2" hitch ball and the 7" of drop you are looking for. Since you have a 10,000 lb capacity Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM13689-95, in order to match the weight capacity and get the 7" of drop you need, you will need an adjustable ball mount:

- B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10040B (Black) or # BWTS10040C (Chrome)

The Tow & Stow has a 2" and also a 2-5/16" ball, a 10,000 lb towing capacity, and up to 7" of drop so it matches everything you need. This mount has two hitch pin holes and measures 9-1/4" and 10-3/8", respectively, from the center of the hitch pin holes to the center of the hitch balls. Ball mounts have different lengths because hitches sit in different spots depending on the vehicle.

These USA-made ball mounts also need to secure to your hitch receiver with Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98882 or for the ultimate in security you can lock the ball mount to your hitch, as well as the platform and ball to the mount with the InfiniteRule Locking Pin for B&W Tow & Stow # 34061075-D.

I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well of the Tow & Stow.

There isn't a fixed ball mount with a 7" drop that has more than a 5,000 lb capacity, so the closest we can get you to exactly 7" drop as well as the capacity you need for a fixed ball mount is an inch above or below that: - 6" Drop: Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45070 with 2" Hitch Ball # 63845 - 8" Drop: Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45448 with 2" Hitch Ball # A-90 To secure them to your hitch you will need either Pin and Clip # C21500 or Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98880.
