Caliper-mounting bracket is designed for use with disc brake assemblies featuring over-the-hub rotors. Mounts on either right-hand or left-hand 4-bolt brake flange. Embossing and side-support design ensure absolute security.

Use care when selecting your choice of adapter plates. There are 2 plates that fit 10' 3500# 5 bolt axels. KodiaK #CMB-10I(e-trailer #KCMB10HD) fits combined hub/rotor assemblies ONLY. Kodiak #CMB-10-UA (e-trailer #KCMB10RD) fits rotors that are separate from the disk.

Purchased replacement Kodiak rotors, caliper plate and brake pads for my boat trailer. I communicated through e-mail and was pleased and surprised to get replies in such a timely manner. They both worked on 3500lb axles but the 225 was also able to be used on larger axles up to 6000lbs. You can replace your 204 calipers with the 225 using mounting bracket # KCMB10RD if you have 3500lb axles, or # KCMB12D if you have 5200-6000lb axles. You will then need the new calipers # KDBC225DAC and pads # K225CP. I included videos...

- Replacement Brake Calipers and Mounting Brackets for Load Rite Tandem Axle Trailer with 3.5K AlxesBecause Kodiak hasn't tested their calipers with brackets from Tie Down, they weren't able to say if they'd be compatible. We do offer the calipers and the brackets sold separately, though. The caliper is part # KDBC225KG and the bracket needed will depend on what type of rotor you have. If you have a hub/rotor, use # KCMB10HRD or # KCMB10RD if you're using a rotor that slips over an idler hub. Each part is sold individually.

If you went with the 225 caliper, you would need to go with a 14 inch wheel. If you could reply with the wheel bot pattern (see linked article showing how to determine this) and the current size and load rating tire you're using, I'd be happy to recommend a wheel/tire combo for you.

A year later and the rotor hubs still look good for being in salt water numerous times.
