This replacement rubber seal fits Kodiak disc brake calipers, the models that have a axle capacity of 3,500 to 6,000 pounds. And we do have a rebuild kit that not only includes this piston seal, but it includes one stainless steel piston, one rubber dust boot with a stainless steel core, two rubber sleeve bushings, and two stainless steel guide bolts. These fit the demco Kar kaddy with disk brakes. Worked good as replacements after the breakaway cable tangled and caused the brakes to drag and overheat.

  • Will A Kodiak 225 Dust Boot And Seal Fit A Tie Down 46304 Caliper
    I wasn't able to find any confirmation that the dust boot and seal included in the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit # KDBC225KIT were a compatible fit for a Tie Down 46304 caliper, but I did measure them so that if you wanted to check the sizing compared to what you have now you could see if it matches. The seal # K225S is about an 1/8" thick with an outer diameter of 2-1/2". The dust boot # K225BSSI has an outer diameter of 2-3/4" wide and inner diameter of 1-1/2" wide.

    While there is not a manual or video available for the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit # KDBC225KIT I did find an expanded drawing of the parts of Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper # KDBC225S which should help so you can see how the pieces fit. The rebuild kit will require you have a 5/16" Allen wrench or 1/2" hex tool and comes with the following parts, which are numbered on the diagram so you can see exactly where they go on the caliper. - Replacement Stainless Steel Piston # K225PS...
