Video Transcript for Kodiak Tires and Wheels K916WB25 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak replacement drive in trailer hub wheel stud. This is a 9/16th diameter by 2 and a half inches long and it's for a quantity of one. Now this 9/16th stud I'd designed to replace a damaged wheel stud on your trailer hub. The ray spine portion right down here on the stud is what will be driven or pressed into your trailer hub. The stud is what will be going through the bowl hole on your trailer wheel and when it's used with a wheel lug nut will hold your entire wheel to your axle. This is a grade A bolt.

They are stamped on the head. The thread size then again, is 9/16ths in diameter. It is 18 threads per inch and they do use a standard 9/16ths by 18 lug nut. Usually that size lug nut is what is used on 16 inch and larger wheels. The overall length we're going to measure.

The overall length will be measured from the bottom of the head to the very end of the bolt. If we put a ruler on that you can see it's two and a half inches. The threaded length portion is going to be right at one and three eights inches. The diameter of the spline portion right here is 11/16ths of an inch. That should do it for the review on the Kodiak replacement drive in trailer hub wheel stud. 9/16ths in diameter.

2 and a half inches in length and a quantity of one.

  • Can 1/2 Inch Wheel Studs be Replaced by 9/16 Inch Wheel Studs
It is possible to change your studs from 1/2" to 9/16" if you use drive-in studs and the the length and knurl diameter of the studs is the same, such as the 0.685" knurl diameter of the Kodiak Wheel Bolt - 9/16" # K916WB25. This will require you to have some very specific measurements or you'd need to change out your hub to get the correct size wheel bolts. It may also be easier to simply get different rims that will work with the wheel bolt size you have. I have added a link to our selection...

  • Replacement Wheel Bolt and Stud For Keystone Sprinter 5th Wheel
You will need to check the diameter and length of the wheel bolt you are looking to replace. We do have replacement options for your hubs whether they are 1/2 inch diameter like # K12WB169, 9/16 inch like # K916WB25, or 5/8 inch like # K58WB316. I have linked our page so you can see all your options of wheel studs. I have also linked the pages for wheel bolts in both coarse and fine thread. We also have lug nuts for all these bolt/stud options.

  • Can 1/2 Inch Wheel Studs be Changed to 9/16 Inch Wheel Studs
It may be possible to change your studs from 1/2" to 9/16" so long as the studs are drive-in (as opposed to threaded); also, the length and knurl diameter needs to be the same. For example, the Kodiak Wheel Bolt - 9/16" Diameter x 2-1/2" Long # K916WB25 has a 0.685" knurl diameter. So you do need to have some very specific measurements, otherwise you will need to change your hub to get that size wheel stud. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well as a link to...

  • Available Replacement Boat Trailer Wheel Studs for Ebbtide 3900
I could not find wheel stud specs based on your information but we do have both drive-in and screw-in type wheels studs in various diameters, shown on the linked page. The most common diameters are 1/2-inch and 9/16-inch. On the page just click on your stud diameter and length to then see just the items with those attributes. For instance, for a 1/2-inch x 2-inch drive in stud we offer Kodiak part # K12WB2. You may be able to obtain wheel stud specs from the trailer manufacturer by providing...

  • Can Longer Wheel Mounting Studs Be Swapped Out On Trailer Hubs?
It may be possible to swap the mounting studs with longer studs so long as your studs are drive in. If your studs are threaded, then you're going to need a new hub assembly with longer wheel studs. However, if they are drive in then you'll just need to measure the length and knurl diameter of the current bolts. For example, the Kodiak Wheel Bolt # K916WB25 measures 2-1/2" long, has a 9/16" diameter, and has a knurl diameter of 0.685". Since you're going to need some pretty accurate measurements...

  • How to Determine Proper Replacement Wheel Studs and Lug Nuts
The best way I can provide the proper wheel studs and lug nuts would be for you to drive out one of the existing studs and take some measurements off of it. There are several dimensions I will need in order to recommend the proper replacement for you. I'll provide you a diagram showing the dimensions I need. Because these measurements need to be very precise, you'll want to use a digital caliper like part # PTW80157. I've also provided these dimensions for the # K916WB25, you can compare...

  • Replacement Trailer Wheel Studs for a 5 on 4-1/2 UFP Hub
To determine the correct wheel studs you need you're going to have to measure the ones that you currently have. First of all are they drive-in, like # K916WB25 or screw-in studs, like # 25-11? You'll then need to measure the length and thread diameter. I've linked out selection of both styles for you to match what you currently have.

  • Recommended Replacements for an Older Trailer Hub
Having an inner bearing # LM48548 and outer bearing # LM11949 is definitely going to make things a bit difficult. I went through all the hub options we have available, but none will match your set up, unfortunately. That being said, we should be able to get replacement lugs for you. This will depend on the size needed, but the # 7-122 will be 2 inches long with a 1/2 diameter, the # K916WB25 will be 2 1/2 inches long with a 9/16 diameter, and the # 7-232 will be 2 3/4 inches long with...

  • Replacement Brake Assemblies to Replace 23-105 and 9/16 inch Wheel Studs Availability
The correct brake assembly to replace the one on your trailer that is marked with 23-105 would be the part # 23-105 for the left hand side and part # 23-106 for the right hand side. The correct drive-in wheel stud that you would need would be part # K916WB25, for a screw in stud you would want the part # 25-11.

  • Replacement 9/16 Inch Wheel Stud for a 7K AxleTek 8-Bolt Hub and Drum Assembly
The wheel stud you need sounds very close to # K916WB25. I have included a picture showing the dimensions. Another option that is very close is # 7-257. It has a chart with its dimensions below the features section on its page. The other 9/16 options we have are either a thread in one, which is not likely what you have, and a shorter model that would not work for you.

  • How to Tell if a Bolt is a Grade 8 Bolt
If you look at the attached photo of the Kodiak Wheel Bolt # K916WB25 you will notice that it has 6 lines on the head. This is an indicator that it is a grade 8 bolt. The Kodiak Wheel Bolt # K916WB25 actually has the exact same dimensions as what you are looking for so it would work great!

  • Replacement 9/16 Inch Wheel Stud for 5/8 Inch Wheel Stud Hubs
The Kodiak Wheel Bolt - 9/16" Diameter x 2-1/2" Long # K916WB25 can replace your 5/8 studs as long as the knurl diameter and length work for your hub and wheel. For instance, the Kodiak Wheel Bolt - 5/8" Diameter x 3-1/8" Long # K58WB316 will work in the hubs due to the same diameter of the knurl, but the length difference is significantly different so the wheel may determine fit. You also don't want to forget the lug nuts # 6-53 that are appropriate for your 9/16 inch studs. The only...
